Mother and 9 year old daughter are applying for housing after being displaced from their previous housing following the daughter disclosing. We are asking for a $50 Meijer gift card to help out with basic needs and food. This gift card will help alleviate financial burden during the housing search.

This request is for a Holland High student in need of a couple things to help occupy him with positive and safe activities during the summer. This student has struggled with attendance and mental health concerns this year due to a number of factors - some within his control, and some outside of his control. This student has been doing better on attendance, and in a meeting with a staff member he mentioned really wanting a basketball to be able to go to a park and play basketball as a way to stay active and do something positive.

This student also mentioned that he would love to get another job over the summer, but he does not have transportation. The student used to have a bike, but it broke and is no longer workable. A bike would be a huge boost to his confidence and morale, and would allow him to look for jobs and open up his world a bit during the summer. He also mentioned that it would help him get to school more reliably. The student is on the taller side, roughly 6' tall and will likely continue growing (to help with bike sizing). Because the price range on bikes is so vast, I put in a general amount - if the bicycle costs less than that amount, that is totally fine!

A mother in our district called to tell us her car had broken down this morning. She explained that she was on her last $60, and she did not have any other way to get to work or pick her child up from school. The Auto shop she went to quoted her at $315 (plus a 4% charge if a credit card was used), and she doesn't have any way to pay for it. This mother usually does not reach out for help with things such as this, so the need is very urgent. Any help with this request would be amazing!

We just found out that a young family in our agency just had a miscarriage of their twin baby girls. The family has 3 children ranging from 9 months to 5 year old. We would like to provide the family with a gift card for meals for the family to help relieve some of the stress of daily life while they are processing through this time of grief.

The mother of a middle school student in our programs is trying to get her to Grace Adventure Camp Horse Camp this summer! The scholarship still left $200 to pay, which isn’t accessible for the family. We’re asking for help to cover half of what’s left. Her parents are split up with multiple kids but are trying to surprise her with something special - can we help make that happen? She has been a consistent participant in our after school program and shown growth and enthusiasm

A single mother of two young kids is struggling financially to keep afloat due to having to replace her roof, which has been leaking. Additionally, she has attorney fees adding up from a custody case that resulted from CPS involvement. We are hoping to support this mother with a grocery gift card to alleviate some stress for her! Mom was laid off about a month ago. She currently rents an apartment, and she was able to make last month's rent, but not this month. She has a special-needs son with cerebral-palsy and intellectual difficulties. They would like to be able to stay in their home because they don't have another option right now.

We have a 3rd grade boy who is one of 7 kids of a single mom. Mom is trying hard to provide for her kids and she does a good job, but money is tight. The 3rd grade boy has tennis shoes that are getting to be small, and his toe is sticking out his shoes. He does not have summer shoes or sandals. Mom currently does not have enough funds to buy summer clothes for all 7 kids. He sometimes gets picked on for not having clothes that fit him or for wearing the same couple of outfits over and over again. We would love if we could gift him some new shoes and clothes to help him dress appropriately for the weather and prepare him for summer. I am reaching out on behalf of two brothers from a low-income family who are in urgent need of glasses. Both boys are very active and, unfortunately, have recently broken their glasses. This is a critical issue as they are currently preparing for end-of-year testing and school projects, where clear vision is essential for their success. The cost of replacing their glasses is a significant financial burden, and without them, they could struggle to perform academically. We kindly request assistance to provide them with the glasses they need so they can continue their education without this added challenge. I am writing on behalf of an Afghan refugee family currently residing in Holland, Michigan. The family consists of two parents and four young children, aged 10, 5, 3½ years, and 6 months. Their primary language is Pashto, and we are working closely with them as they adjust to life in the United States. The family recently relocated from Lansing to Holland in search of better opportunities and support for their growing children. The father previously worked in Lansing and is actively seeking employment here in Holland to provide for his family. We are meeting with them regularly to assist with English language learning, employment resources, and community integration. At this time, the family is in urgent need of rental assistance. They are working hard to become self-sufficient, but due to their recent move and limited financial resources, they are struggling to meet housing costs. We are advocating on their behalf and kindly request your consideration for any available support or emergency housing assistance.

Biological mother is in need of assistance with vehicle issues. Th vehicle is in need of repairs that are approximately $2,000. This quote was give by Hank's Auto Service. This vehicle is the mother's primary mode of transportation and she is in need of a working vehicle to ensure she is able to maintain her employment as well as continue to transport her children to/from their appointments. This mother has continued to work diligently to rectify barriers that brought her children into care. We are approaching a reunification and having a vehicle is vital for her to continue making progress on barriers and support the reunification of her and her 3 children.
