Help Remove an Educational Barrier for a Child
Our non-profit organization is once again taking part in the annual Back-to-School Drive in Ottawa County, a vital effort to ensure that children and families in our community have access to the essential school supplies they need to succeed.
We are reaching out in a time of great need. As the new school year approaches, we are seeing a growing number of families struggling to afford even the most basic educational materials. This year, more than ever, your support could make a meaningful difference in the lives of local students.
We would greatly appreciate any assistance you may be able to provide. Every donation helps us get closer to ensure that no child in our community is left behind due to lack of supplies.
Thank you for considering our request and for your continued commitment to supporting local families.

Help Strengthen a Bio Family
A family of six, one caregiver and five kids, have been displaced. All of her and her children's belongings are in two storage units, which are currently locked and she will lose if she does not make a payment ASAP. Step-mom plans to remove the items from the storage units once payments are made, so this will not be a reoccurring issue. An additional caregiver with employment will also be joining the household shortly. Please help this family not lose their belongings! Thank you.

Help Improve a Child's Wellbeing
I am requesting help for a 1.5 year old who recently has gotten braces for both of her feet. The family does not always consistently send the child in shoes and I would like to be able to provide the family with shoes. Shoes are especially important considering her class goes out for recess twice a day (weather permitting). It has been also recommended by the doctor that the child wears shoes with her braces. The child needs size 7 toddler and wide or extra wide shoe. I had luck finding this on the New Balance website. Go To Link

Help Improve a Child's Safety/Wellbeing
Over two years ago a local family lost their home to a housefire. They were not adequately insured and have had unstable housing, moving around from motel to motel. The family of 6 currently resides in a motel. After the dad secured better, more consistent employment, the family has finally been able to sign a lease on a large apartment. The plan is for them to move in early June. The family lost most household items in the housefire that initially deemed them homeless. Due to a large security deposit and first months rent, which the family has saved for, they could really use some support furnishing the home. The family would be grateful with any new or gently used items to help furnish the home.

A single mother and her daughter I have been working with recently moved into a new home. This mom has worked extremely hard, despite experiencing homelessness, to maintain employment and find a nice home for her and her daughter. Because of an unreliable car, it is very difficult for her to get her laundry to a laundry mat to clean their clothes, but her new home has a washer and dryer hookup in the basement. She is looking for an electric washer and dryer, and she does not mind if they are used as long as they function.

Venture Academy offers a unique program that customizes education to fit individual student needs. Venture Academy services students in 9-12th grades that face academic, social and economic challenges. Items outside of our funding budget are not funded through Zeeland Public Schools. One of the crucial items we need are internet hotspots so that students who do not have internet at home can continue to work from home when situations require this (i.e. travel between parental homes, no internet in the home, etc). This request covers two hotspots for the academic year 2025-26. Thank-you for considering this need and helping our students succeed.

Hello everyone, I am servicing a family who is in need of 5 trailer windows. They need two side window's at this 30 x 39 inches. Two windows that are 24 x 39 inches. Finally, the last window is 30 1/2 x 39 inches. The family is currently using blankets to cover the broken-out windows. The true estimated cost for the windows is not known. The family had the windows measured and have been with broken windows for some time.
