Single father of two kids is living in a fixer upper home. The father works long hours and overtime to provide the best life for his children. He is in need of a washer and electric dryer. He is currently needing to use the laundromat and fitting the time at the laundromat in his busy schedule has been difficult for him.

Healthy Families has been working with a family for 4 years. The mother lost custody of her 3 sons seven years ago and rights were severed. Her 3 sons were placed in an adoptive home which did not work out. The oldest son was adopted by another family, but the two younger boys have not been re-adopted. They have been a stable foster home but need to find permanency. Mother and the sons have made significant progress with the help of the foster home and her home visitor. Mother has maintained her sobriety for 4 1/2 years. The foster care agency called and asked Mother if she would consider adopting her own sons. She readily said yes. She will have a walk thru by the adoption worker next week but needs some assistance in purchasing some safety items before then. Any help is appreciated at this time.

A young adult took custody of her teenage sibling when their parent was not able to care for them. The mother dropped the teenager off with nothing and while the young adult sibling is doing her best to provide for the teenage sibling, her placement was not expected, and the family is in need of a bed for the teen. A bed would help the teenager feel more comfortable and better rested for school.

This request is being made on behalf of a 11-year-old boy and 5-year-old girl who's seeking assistance with bedding essentials. They are needing small twin size beds for kids. The 11-year-old is a boy and 5-year-old is a girl. They both would also need the bedding sets for the small twin beds. This request will allow the children to be able to stay with familiar people they know. Despite the challenges with their behaviors, being with family/friend could possibly help them to be able to cope with the triggers and behaviors.

Our foster family of 7 with a baby on the way is in need of a meal train the week their baby is born (due date is May 3rd). We're hoping to have 5+ people sign up to each bring a large meal (10 servings) the week the baby is born. This will make a tremendous difference for this family as they transition into life with a newborn.

Yes we do go to local food banks frequently however my wife just recently went through a very traumatic pregnancy and our son arrived 6 weeks early and spent 5 in the NICU and we were driving 40 miles to and from the hospital.
