The children were in foster care and were recently returned to their maternal grandmother. Unfortunately, most of one of the children's clothing was ruined because upon the return home the clothing was left in a bag with vomit for some days. The grandmother has not been able to get the odor out. The youth does not have many changes of clothing, and his underwear, socks and shoes were also ruined. It would really help this 11 year old youth feel better about going to school if he had some good clothing and necessities. Thank you for considering.

Family Service Worker is working with a kinship placement which consists of a teenage youth placed with his grandfather. The home is in need of a stove replacement. Grandfather lives frugally, but large expenses, such as replacing a major appliance, would require months of saving. The stove the family is using only has two working burners left. If these are used too frequently, they will likely wear out quickly, leaving the family without a fully functioning stove. Any support to address this need would significantly help the family maintain their ability to prepare meals and continue managing their limited resources effectively.

A single provider has taken in her three grandchildren two of them are on oxygen and the provider is on a strict income and does not have the funds to afford a crib for one of the newborn babies. The provider is asking help to purchase a crib, mattress, and bedding for the child. The crib is $160, the mattress is $55, and the bedding is $30. The provider is thankful for any help that is received for the children that were placed in her care.

A devoted and loving aunt has stepped up to care for her sixteen-year-old nephew, who is facing legal challenges in Cleveland, Ohio. Despite the difficulties, she has embraced this responsibility with an open heart, doing everything she can to support him. However, the journey has been overwhelming.

Living on a fixed income, she also cares for her fifteen-year-old son and supports her husband, who is on SSDI. The financial strain has been immense, especially with the unexpected costs of traveling between Columbus and Cleveland for her nephew’s juvenile court hearings and mandated legal appointments. To cover these expenses, she had to use the funds she had set aside for rent.

Now, as April’s rent of $1,500—plus a $50 late fee—comes due, she finds herself in urgent need of support. She is doing her best to provide a stable, loving home for her nephew and family, but she has limited resources to lean on. Any assistance would be deeply appreciated as we continue to explore community resources to help her through this challenging time.

Family consists of a young mom, her boyfriend and 2 children ages 4 yrs old and 6 months old. Due to safety concerns with family members, mom and her small family had to move out of maternal grandmothers home. Mom and her boyfriend have been able to successfully obtain an apartment of their own. The family is in need of household items for the home as they are moving in with only beds for themselves and the children. The boyfriend works but is the only income in the home.

A family in our church had a five year old girl placed with them yesterday. She arrived with very little and needs basic items. She will be moving schools and the family has asked that she have some new items to ease this transition, along with every day items.

Our foster family of 7 with a baby on the way is in need of a meal train the week their baby is born (due date is May 3rd). We're hoping to have 5+ people sign up to each bring a large meal (10 servings) the week the baby is born. This will make a tremendous difference for this family as they transition into life with a newborn.

A father has recently gotten housing and needs items for him and his son to be comfortable in their home. A few items are listed but the apartment needs all the basics for living. Financial assistance is also welcome to help purchase needed items.

A couple in our church community are expecting their first baby in a few weeks. The mom-to-be would greatly appreciate if someone could come to their home and put together a dresser while her husband is away at basic training. They are located in Cary.

There is a family within our church who is changing their housing situation. They need help with their water deposit to insure their housing situation.
