Single mom with 2 children, ages 5 and 13 are in jeopardy of having their electricity cut off for non-payment. Mom runs a cleaning service as the major source of her income. As with so many paying all the bills is a struggle. The bill is for $1,025 to be paid by April 17th. However, $325 will pay her immediate bill. The mom is a Christian lady who came up thru the foster care system and doesn't want to lose her kids to the system. She is very appreciative of any help CarePortal and the Church can provide.

My ct has had a factory job at Tyson but had a health issues for awhile and just got released from a doctors note and has not worked for weeks. Now my ct needs help with an electricity bill to see her son. Her son stays mostly with his maternal grandma cause she was having health problems and problems with housing too. My cts mother has guardianship of her son right now while she gets back on her feet. The mother doesnt want her grandson to stay at a home that might get the electricity shut off right now and so my ct needs help with that bill so her son can be over during the day and night. At this time ct is stil getting me the bill my guess it was a over a $100 at least.

My male ct has already lost his apartment due to not finding a job in time after they changed ownership of the apartment building the apartment used to wait to be paid rent until his school money comes in every semester but the new owners werent willing to do that with him. My ct is lucky to have a grandmother that needed someone to move in with her to help her out at this time after falling and breaking her hip so that worked out but now my ct cant have his daughter with him over nights till he can get back on his feet.. My ct is requesting help with rent and deposits for a new house or apartment so that he can see he daughter,. His ex is always making it hard to see his daughter and she doesnt want him to have her until he is on his feet again so this puts my ct thought even more hard times. He loves his daughter but cant keep her over night here because his ex doesnt think the daughter needs to stay with him while he is with his own grandmother.

A family recently arrived from Africa fleeing their war-torn community. Dad, mom (who was pregnant with twins), and 3 children (ages 11, 9 and 6) travelled 2,500 miles, a good portion of it on foot, praying that they would be able to stay together and would be safe. The family was given refugee status and brought to America. They are in an apartment and do not know the language yet. Dad and mom are trying to set up a new home with their 5 children and have received assistance from His Helping Hands for furniture.

A Pathway member has met some of their other needs as she walks with them and one of their twins who has special needs.

Their current, most immediate needs are for a double stroller for the twins and preemie diapers. Thank you for supporting this family.

A single mom with 5 children (age ranges of 2 to 13) is struggling and could really use some support. She has had heartache after heartache over the past few years. The children's father is unable to work and be in the household due to mental illness and prior to all of this she was a stay at home mom. She has been actively trying to find work but the cost of child care has made it nearly impossible for her to do this. The primary vehicle is a large suburban which is expensive to fill up-a gas card would help with this as well as a gift card to Walmart to help with groceries and other essentials. If anyone knows of a legitimate work from home job, a job that would allow a mom to bring children or affordable child care near Valley Center or Park City, please reach out in the comments.

Good morning and happy Sunday. I received a text from one of the mother's I am working with and is in need of diapers and wipes. We have exhausted our resources and have not been able to get more supplies until later next week. If someone is able to help the family with size 5 and 6 diapers we would be eternally grateful! A mother who recently left an abusive marriage is needing help with moving from a house to a two-bedroom apartment where she and her 11-year-old son will be starting their new life. She needs help moving on Saturday, April 12. She has already rented the U-Haul and really needs help with the muscle! Everything is on the ground level and there are no appliances needing to be moved. The bigger items being moved will be 2 couches, end tables, TV stand, TV, mattresses, dining room table and boxes. The move will start on Saturday at 10:00 am. Our mother and son attend Westlink campus.

Urgent Request: Help a Homeless Mother and Son Recover Their Towed Vehicle

A single mother and her young son, currently experiencing homelessness, have been living between a local shelter and their car. Tragically, their car was recently towed, resulting not only in the loss of their only means of transportation but also many of their personal belongings, including clothing, hygiene items, and important documents.

This situation has left them devastated and without the few resources they relied on for stability and daily life. The mother is working hard to regain footing for herself and her child, and recovering the vehicle is a crucial step toward rebuilding their stability and independence.

We are urgently seeking support to cover the cost of the vehicle release, which includes towing and storage fees. Your generosity could make an immediate and life-changing impact for this family.

A mom has recently, courageously, left an abusive marriage with her 10 year old son. She has secured employment and has found a small apartment to start over. Mom and her son had to leave everything behind so are starting over to furnish their new home. She already has beds and a dresser, and someone has helped provide needed items for her bathroom.

This family still needs a couch, small kitchen table with 2 chairs, broom with dustpan, Swiffer wet mop, small vacuum for laminate flooring, pizza cutter and other kitchen utensils, dish drainer, spices, a coffee table and small bookshelf.

Mom is walking with a friend and Pathway member back to a healthy environment for her and her son.

Family of five, three are children, lost their home in the Eaton Canyon Fire. They are still living in a hotel. They have needed to change hotels 4 times since the fires. The week after the fire, the mother had to be rushed to the hospital where they discovered a blood clot in her leg and lung.

With all of these challenges, the father has been trying to keep them afloat from his job, but it is all costing them more out of pocket than they anticipate, especially with the additional hospital stay.

They are requesting financial assistance to help them be able to buy groceries and other essential needs while they are still in the hotel.
