KINSHIP. The caregiver is taking care of both her grandson and her granddaughter. Recently the granddaughter's closet door broke. Both grandparents are retired and due to the high cost of living, this is an extra expense the grandparents are trying their best to provide for. This will maintain kin placement and help the resource parents get back on track with other expenses. This will also help the caregivers, and the children bring reside in a stable and comfortable environment. Both grandparents are retired and receives retirement payments. The kin family will be able to maintain after this need is met, because it will relieve stress of this expense and will help on focus on other expenses. They are requesting funding for a closet door and will provide further information regarding the vendor once they are contacted by a responder.

KINSHIP. Caregiver is single and is taking care of her great granddaughter. The caregiver is retired and is requesting funding assistance with purchasing a reclining chair. The one in her home is old and broken and due to high living cost the caregiver can’t afford to replace it. She is currently providing for her great granddaughter and is doing the best she can. Providing this assistance will help maintain the placement and create comfortable in the home. It will also help the caregiver focus on other expenses she has to take care of. At this time, the caregiver is receiving Kinship and Social Security payments. The caregiver will be to maintain after this need is met, because she will have relief and be able to focus on other expenses. The caregiver has located the reclining chair she is interested in and she will provide that information once contacted by the responder.

Birthright of Marble Hill is requesting furniture for a family in need. Mom and Dad are relocating to their own place in Marble Hill. They need a kitchen table and chairs along with a couch. This will allow this family to live in their own place after spending some time living with her dad. Dad has a job and will be able to provide for the family but these expenses are a bit much with all the moving expenses. They would be very happy with used furniture.

We have a great-aunt that took in her nieces ages 4 and 8 years old. They are both very fun and loving girls. She does not have a lot of room in her home to add 2 additional beds as she has her 2 older children in the home as well. She is looking to get a bunk bed for the girls. The aunt is going to downsize her bed so she can fit them both in her room.

A mother of an 11 yr old girl is working on rebuilding her relationship with her daughter. A $100 Visa Gift card would allow her to take her on a supervised outing in the community to do something they both enjoy. Due to her separation from her husband, she is tight on funds. A mother in San Francisco has recently begun her trial reunification with her three boys. She has worked really hard to get her boys back, but has very low income. Our hope is that with some tangible support, to ease some of the financial burdens, this reunification will be successful and they can begin to move forward from their time apart.

All three boys love the colors red, white, and black. Gently used items in good condition are welcomed.

A family recently arrived from Africa fleeing their war-torn community. Dad, mom (who was pregnant with twins), and 3 children (ages 11, 9 and 6) travelled 2,500 miles, a good portion of it on foot, praying that they would be able to stay together and would be safe. The family was given refugee status and brought to America. They are in an apartment and do not know the language yet. Dad and mom are trying to set up a new home with their 5 children and have received assistance from His Helping Hands for furniture.

A Pathway member has met some of their other needs as she walks with them and one of their twins who has special needs.

Their current, most immediate needs are for a double stroller for the twins and preemie diapers. Thank you for supporting this family.

A single mom with 5 children (age ranges of 2 to 13) is struggling and could really use some support. She has had heartache after heartache over the past few years. The children's father is unable to work and be in the household due to mental illness and prior to all of this she was a stay at home mom. She has been actively trying to find work but the cost of child care has made it nearly impossible for her to do this. The primary vehicle is a large suburban which is expensive to fill up-a gas card would help with this as well as a gift card to Walmart to help with groceries and other essentials. If anyone knows of a legitimate work from home job, a job that would allow a mom to bring children or affordable child care near Valley Center or Park City, please reach out in the comments.

A mother who recently left an abusive marriage is needing help with moving from a house to a two-bedroom apartment where she and her 11-year-old son will be starting their new life. She needs help moving on Saturday, April 12. She has already rented the U-Haul and really needs help with the muscle! Everything is on the ground level and there are no appliances needing to be moved. The bigger items being moved will be 2 couches, end tables, TV stand, TV, mattresses, dining room table and boxes. The move will start on Saturday at 10:00 am. Our mother and son attend Westlink campus.

Can we have 6 people come along side this single mother to help her with her move? If you can help, please 'provide' assistance. We'll then reach out to get you connected with the family.

A mom has recently, courageously, left an abusive marriage with her 10 year old son. She has secured employment and has found a small apartment to start over. Mom and her son had to leave everything behind so are starting over to furnish their new home. She already has beds and a dresser, and someone has helped provide needed items for her bathroom.

This family still needs a couch, small kitchen table with 2 chairs, broom with dustpan, Swiffer wet mop, small vacuum for laminate flooring, pizza cutter and other kitchen utensils, dish drainer, spices, a coffee table and small bookshelf.

Mom is walking with a friend and Pathway member back to a healthy environment for her and her son.
