Two grandparents have been caring for their granddaughter for the last 5 years. Recently grandpa has been struggling with his health. He has been in the hospital for an extended period of time and will require additional time in a skilled nursing facility. He has been unable to work and now grandma, who is not working, is having to figure out how to pay their bills. We are hoping to gather some grocery gift cards to alleviate some of the financial burden they are facing. Grocery stores near them are Safeway, Grocery Outlet, Raley's and Walmart.

Family consists of a minor mother (17 years old) and her 1 year old child. Assistance is being requested for the purchase of a crib and mattress for the toddler. The family lives in a one bedroom one bathroom duplex, where the bedroom is shared by minor mother, the child and maternal Aunt. Mother stated the child has a crib at father's home, however she cannot afford to purchase one for her home. Mother is not receiving any public assistance at this time, and will apply once she turns 18 y/o. Co-sleeping, especially at a young age can pose significant safety risks. It is recommended that the 1 year old child have her own safe space to sleep where she can be comfortable.

A family member has recently became placement for a 15 year old female. The same family member has now taken in the 17 year old brother. The family member is a single woman that struggles financially and experiencing challenges with becoming placement. The family member expressed concerns for ensuring she has enough food for both children. The family member expressed concerns for the 17 year old needing clothing. The family member stated she is looking for new housing to fit both children, in the future she may need assistance fulfilling the bedrooms.

A young single mother of three is expecting her fourth child in October. She is currently fleeing a domestically violent relationship with the father of her child. He is not willing to help her financially or emotionally. This mama greatly desires to be working towards self-sufficiency, and she is accessing many resources, including case management in order to create a safer environment for her family. Having this larger cost item covered would allow her already sparse income to go towards essentials like rent, gas and groceries and ensure that she doesn't have to make a decision between any of those things. Kinship caregivers have been caring for two young children for over a year and doing a fantastic job in supporting them and keeping them stable. The children's needs have increased and there have been some unexpected changes in benefits to help offset the cost of their ongoing care and needs. It would be a great support to the family if the community could help with some summer clothing for the children to reduce another extra new cost for the family. This little bit of support would be greatly appreciated by the family and the children! These are two young children, ages 2/Male and 3(almost 4)/Female. For the boy, 3T clothing, 7.5/8 T shoes (easy pull/slide on ones) and for the girl, 5T clothing, size 9 T shoes/sandals - or she loves boots. She also loves dresses and would need the bicycle shorts for under her dresses.

In 2019, a young teen boy was abandoned by his mother and the young man was raised in foster care as he did not return nor reunite with his mother. He was placed in group homes and faced challenges with his behavior as a teen until he met his girlfriend. When he found out his girlfriend was pregnant with triplets, he agreed to participate extended foster care to have a place to live and support his girlfriend and children. At age 20, he is now the father of four children, with the set of triplets aged 3, and a two-year-old. He currently secured an apartment with his girlfriend and children. However, his current income is limited and he spent his money on securing the aprtment and moving expenses. Therefore, at this time he cannot afford to purchase the additional start up home items. His social worker assessed the home and identified the following needs: a dining table with chairs, set of adult and children utensils, a set of pots and pans, blankets and four sets of crib sheets. With 7 kids, clothing can be very expensive. This family is requesting gift cards to Gabe's or Walmart so they can purchase clothes for their kids. Four of the kids are teenagers and would love to be able to pick out their own items with a gift card.

This family with 7 kids is in need of some beds. The kids are sharing beds that are too small and no one is sleeping well. A couple twin beds or bunk beds would really help this family get better sleep and give the kids the dignity of having their own bed.
