A 6 year old child has been referred for a higher level of care in order to support his behavioral needs. Examples of his behaviors include running out of the classroom and into the school kitchen, putting inedible objects in his mouth, and physical aggression towards his classmates. His mother has had him assessed recently and it was recommended that he attend a program daily to help decrease these behaviors and increase his skills. The catch is that he does not qualify for transportation to the program due to his age.

We are requesting support in order to provide transportation vouchers via Uber or Lyft. It is hard to know how much this may cost, but the value is an estimate. If there are other transportation options, outside of the bus, that you are aware of, please feel free to share suggestions as well.

Mother is a single mother of three children under the age of 10 years old. Mother's washer broke down three months ago and has been washing by hand. The family does not have a vehicle to drive to a nearby laundry matt. One of the three children has a medical issue and urinates on her bed and clothing. Mother has to be washing the child's clothes constantly by hand. Mother is in need of bed pads and washer to prevent the child from smelling like urine.

An expectant mother is in need of basic items for a newborn due later this month April. The mother's community health coach requested a pack-n-play (bassinet), infant car seat, diapers, wipes. These items will allow the child safe transport and a safe sleeping environment. The diapers and wipes will supply the baby's needs for a few weeks. We still need funds for the CARSEAT and DIAPERS. You may click, "Yes, I Can Help!" if you would like to donate funds so we can purchase the items. Or, you can bring any items you'd like to purchase to church -- diapers (newborn or size 1). A single mom recently moved from the shelter into her own apartment with her daughter with special needs. Her daughter is blind, autistic and has other complications from Optic Nerve hypoplasia. Mom states that she works but with her rent being $900 a month it has left her unable to provide a few necessary items. The home does not have a working a/c and high heat places the young child at risk of a stroke. A window unit could help provide comfort and wellbeing for the child. The home could use a few items including couch cover up as well as girls clothes size 10-12. Mom also stated that her daughter’s favorite item is an electric keyboard piano but she accidentally bumped into it and it broke. She has not been able to afford to buy a new or used one. A used one that someone could donate would be great! Any help with these few items would be greatly appreciated and significantly improve the life of a mom and child who have been through a lot.

We have been able to provide this family clothes, electric piano and furniture covers. Can anyone help with a window air conditioner?

A devoted grandmother, who has lovingly stepped in to raise her eight-year-old granddaughter, is in need of support to provide her with school uniforms. She is doing everything she can to care for her granddaughter, but being on a fixed income and facing reduced work hours during the summer—due to her job with Columbus City Schools—has made it difficult to afford the essentials. The cost of the uniforms is around $200, and any support would mean the world to this family. Your kindness would help ensure this little girl can start school feeling confident and prepared.

An 8 year old child was placed with her adult sister. The adult sister has two children of her own, who are also in the home. The 8 year old child is in need of a twin bed, including a frame, mattress and bedding. There is minimal storage space for the 8 year old's belongings, so a dresser would be helpful as well. Getting these items would help preserve this placement, as we want the child to remain in this relative's home. The caregiver recently moved to a bigger home to accommodate the 8 year old, so the family needs additional support with these items for the child.

A loving grandmother in our community is currently in a season of transition and starting over with her family. As they work to rebuild, they’re in need of several essential items to create a stable and welcoming home. Some of their most urgent needs include: a washer and dryer, a dish set, two beds complete with blankets, frames, box springs, comforters, mattress protectors, and pillows, as well as two couches.

We had a family of 10 come to us about 2 weeks ago. They had moved here from Arizona with housing lined out and a job. Unfortunatley the housing fell through 2 hours before they got to Oklahoma. They were forced to use the funds they had to live in a hotel. When that money ran out they came to us and we were able to put them up for 2 weeks. During that 2 weeks the father started working and has found a 5 bedroom home locally but doesn't have the full amount for the deposit. They can move in as early as today but are missing that 1200.00. Thank you in advance for your faithfulness!

Two grandparents have been caring for their granddaughter for the last 5 years. Recently grandpa has been struggling with his health. He has been in the hospital for an extended period of time and will require additional time in a skilled nursing facility. He has been unable to work and now grandma, who is not working, is having to figure out how to pay their bills. We are hoping to gather some grocery gift cards to alleviate some of the financial burden they are facing. Grocery stores near them are Safeway, Grocery Outlet, Raley's and Walmart.
