Story
A Teller County teenager who was just removed from her home is in need of clothing and toiletries. This determined 14-year old girl has experienced quite a few hardships and disappointments in her short life, but she refuses to let that break her spirit. However, she recently had to be placed in foster care and lost access to many of her things due to the situation at her former home. As such, the Department is requesting $250 in Wal-Mart or Visa gift cards to allow her to choose her own replacement clothing, toiletries, and makeup. A foster child, especially a teenage one, being able to select their own items gives them a sense of control in an unstable season of their lives. While we do hope to meet as many of her needs as possible, we will humbly accept gift cards of any amount. Thank you so much for considering this tenacious girl in her time of need.
