HD is a 22 year old single mother of 2 children: 3 yr old and 1 yr old. She was previously working at an Early Learning center but was let go March 17. SInce then she has been actively searching for work, applying and interviewing. However, due to her loss of income, she is struggling and could not afford to pay her cell phone bill. It is currently shut off. Without this access, prospective employers are unable to reach her to schedule interviews and she is unable to do phone interviews. This is a barrier for her in gaining employment. She does not receive child support so she has no income at this time. She receives medicaid and SNAP from government assistance. Having her phone turned back on would greatly help her move forward in her work search and provide for her family.
