The desire is to continue to support this mom as she strives to maintain stable housing in preparations for baby. Client has a restraining order against the father of this baby, so she is not receiving any support from him or from local community/family. Cl lives alone, so this request would meet the need for her and her unborn child. A newly single mom of 4 kids, ages 16, 14, 12, and 6 years old, is moving into her first apartment as a single parent. She is asking for help with a washer and dryer because she is unable to purchase one herself. She is trying to meet the needs of her kids on her own and her finances are very tight. She moves into her new apartment on 5/1/2025. The dryer hookup in her new apartment is electric.

Family needs help with transportation and are in need of a Bus Pass for the meantime as she does not have Transportaion at the time. This will help mom, and her three children attend doctor visits in case of an emergency or even get groceries. Mom is a single mother with three children under the age of 7 and makes it very difficult for her to find transportation at times. Mom would be very grateful for a bus pass as the weather is getting warmer and not having to walk with her three children to places.

Good afternoon, I have a single mother in need of a little support. Mother is currently on an FMLA leave from work and is not getting paid due to being out of sick time. Mother returns back to work on May 12th. Mother is about two months behind on her light bill due to trying to keep up all the other bills and provide for her two children.

Volunteer Opportunity: Help Deliver Groceries to Pickerington Seniors and Residents with Disabilities

The Pickerington Area Resource Coalition seeks 9 dedicated volunteers to assist with monthly grocery deliveries for seniors and individuals with disabilities in the Pickerington community.

Our next delivery date is Thursday, May 1. Volunteers will pick up pre-packed grocery bags at Kroger (7833 Refugee Rd.) between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. and deliver them to recipients' homes within Pickerington.

All names and addresses will be provided in advance. This is a recurring opportunity, taking place once a month.

An expectant mother is in need of basic items for a newborn due later this month April. The mother's community health coach requested a pack-n-play (bassinet), infant car seat, diapers, wipes. These items will allow the child safe transport and a safe sleeping environment. The diapers and wipes will supply the baby's needs for a few weeks. We still need funds for the CARSEAT and DIAPERS. A single mom recently moved from the shelter into her own apartment with her daughter with special needs. Her daughter is blind, autistic and has other complications from Optic Nerve hypoplasia. Mom states that she works but with her rent being $900 a month it has left her unable to provide a few necessary items. The home does not have a working a/c and high heat places the young child at risk of a stroke. A window unit could help provide comfort and wellbeing for the child. The home could use a few items including couch cover up as well as girls clothes size 10-12. Mom also stated that her daughter’s favorite item is an electric keyboard piano but she accidentally bumped into it and it broke. She has not been able to afford to buy a new or used one. A used one that someone could donate would be great! Any help with these few items would be greatly appreciated and significantly improve the life of a mom and child who have been through a lot.

We had a family of 10 come to us about 2 weeks ago. They had moved here from Arizona with housing lined out and a job. Unfortunatley the housing fell through 2 hours before they got to Oklahoma. They were forced to use the funds they had to live in a hotel. When that money ran out they came to us and we were able to put them up for 2 weeks. During that 2 weeks the father started working and has found a 5 bedroom home locally but doesn't have the full amount for the deposit. They can move in as early as today but are missing that 1200.00. Thank you in advance for your faithfulness!
