There is a 18 year-old senior who was previously a foster child. The court had granted an aunt permanent managing conservatorship of her in her early teens. Before the age of 17 years old, her and her aunt had some disagreements and she was kicked out of her aunt's home. She has been couch surfing with relatives and friends, but has had to take care of herself over the last year. She does not have any family supports. She currently lives with two roommates, but has to maintain a job while preparing to graduate in two weeks. During Christmas a teacher donated a gift card where I was able to buy her hygiene products and toiletries. She has made those last up until this last week. The student just needs more to get her through the next couple weeks. She will sustain herself once she graduates by living with her boyfriend's family. However, she does not want to risk burdening them before she moves in so she tries to independently care for her own needs. Currently, she needs special shampoo and conditioner and body wash due to her allergies and some other hygiene products. She is also in need of a couple groceries to get her through this next two weeks. A gift card or even providing specific groceries due to space and time would benefit her greatly. Also, any emotional support or kindness would go a long way with this student as she prepares to graduate with little family supports.

A mother recently out of the hospital requests help with securing a bus pass so that she can attend substance abuse treatment and regain custody of her son.

A single father requests help for diapers and wipes for a two month old baby. This father recently discovered that he is not the biological father of the baby, but is determined to care for him as his own.

A donated refrigerator will have a significant impact on the overall well-being of this food-insecure family. With reliable refrigeration, they can safely store fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy, and other nutritious foods that were previously out of reach due to lack of storage. This directly benefits the child’s health by supporting consistent access to balanced meals, which are essential for growth, development, and academic performance. For the family, it reduces stress around daily food planning, cuts down on food waste, and allows them to take advantage of food assistance programs more effectively. Ultimately, the refrigerator is more than just an appliance—it’s a step toward greater food security, stability, and improved quality of life for the entire household. This family has 3 children of various ages attending elementary and middle school and 3 adults living in the home. One adult is a stay at home care taker for an elderly relative.

this family wife and husband adoption of twin boys ages 11 from foster care placement the parents were family friends and had an addition problem so few years went by, and they had another set of twin boys age 6 that they are fostering for the second time, they are hopeful the parents will reunify, the reason they are requesting help is because they have fallen behind in their mortgage, thy had a death of a teenage nephew who parents had limited resources, and they help them out and with the placement of the twin boys they needed to purchase several things to adapt they home and clothing and school supplies and adjust working hours and so many other daily bills and coast, that she needs help catching up. With her mortgage payment. i told her i would submit the grant for $1,400 and they needed to come up with the difference, the boys funding should kick in by the 15th of this month. and they should be able to stay at float.

2 senior individuals with disabilities were placed in protective custody due to living conditions exploitation sexual and physical abuse. We are asking for help with community resources that may be able to assist these 2 elderly disabled individuals with mentorship, gift cards for local fastfood due to where they were placed they only have access to a microwave. Any financial assistance would greatly be appreciated to ensure securement of their room at motel until further placement arrangements can be made. What we are needing is..

1. Financial assistance for motel for approx. 1 month and transportation
2. Resources for food,clothing,mentorship transportation,housing
3. fast food gift cards so these 2 individuals can have at least 1 hot meal.

A member of Doxa shared a request where they would benefit in having another bed since they assist their neighbor kids while their mom works doubles to make ends meet. Having a bed will allow her to serve the kids in having their own space when they spend the evenings over.

We are in urgent need of funding to purchase two mattresses (we highly recommend with waterproof covers) for a foster family who is working to get siblings placed in their home. As part of the placement transition, they will be hosting the children for some overnight visits soon and they have worked to purchase beds for their home. As a result, they are asking for help in purchasing the mattresses to put on the beds due to the sudden financial strain. These kids will be looking to make this home a permanent placement, so these items would be for use long into the future. Mom is in need of two window air conditioner units for her apartment. Currently, the children are not able to sleep in their rooms because of the temperature (either too hot in the summer or no heat in the winter). Mom also needs a twin size mattress for a bedframe that she has for her daughter.

I would like to say “thank you” on behalf of my family. Whatever you can do will be greatly appreciated. I know that this is a temporary situation because I will be back in the workforce as soon as we get the support we need to get going. My story is long, but I will make it as concise as possible. When I got married to my wife, she had a boy, whom I love dearly. He is on the autism spectrum. I bring him up because everything that is going on is hardest on him. I had a job selling cars, and I made many sales, but what was promised was not paid. I lost several months giving my all to a job that did not cover my bills. I got a new job driving a school bus. At that time, we were living in my father’s house. That’s when the twins arrived. This was too much for him. He was always in a bad mood. His temper always got the better of him. We were afraid for the babies. M and J were afraid to be there when I wasn’t there, and I was afraid for them. One night he just cam in to the room screaming at my wife saying what s going on since the babies were crying and Meghan was getting frustrated with the babies he seemed like he was ready to hit one of us how angry he seemed .at the the time we were holding the babies I had to make a hard decision to keep my family safe cause it would of just gotten worse. We left to stay at a friend’s house, where we are now....but we have to leave very soon. Now we have no income and no savings. Thank you again for listening and all of your help.
