This Springfield family is currently experiencing a difficult season after recently losing their only vehicle. The mother is struggling to get to work consistently, which has added financial strain to the household. Support in the form of children’s clothing and gift cards for food or utility assistance would make a meaningful difference as they work to regain stability.

The foster family is looking to send the foster child back to Camp Lutherhoma this upcoming summer. They need assistance with covering the cost as the camp is roughly $500 for the child to attend. This camp included multiple activities such as baking, hiking, swimming, fishing, and other outdoor experiences. The child thrives in an outdoor environment and could use the experience. The foster family is wanting to make sure both their bio kid and the foster child get to experience and just needs some assistance covering the cost for 1 child.

This student's family is at risk of losing their housing because of increasing prices and Grandma (guardian) losing her job. She is struggling to get unemployment or any other support. She works incredibly hard to take care of her grandson and who has a high level of needs. As the head of household for a house of 6 people, she does a huge amount of work.

Grandma just finished school and is hoping to find a job soon, but right now things are very difficult. The housing instability is causing our student increased stress during the school day, which is greatly impacting his ability to control his emotions at school and learn. He has gone through a huge amount of trauma in his life, so any additional stressors cause him to become very disregulated.

Household members: Grandma, Great-grandfather, 13 year old, 20 year old, 8 year old (our student), 11 month old.

I gave grandma a financial assistance resource, but support in other ways would be incredibly appreciated to help this student be more successful in school and for the family to maintain their housing.

Grandma indicates the major need is assistance with food. Feeding a family of 6 is very expensive. Any gift card or delivery of groceries would be appreciated. (Walmart, Cub, etc). Thank you.

The youth is requesting her hair be styled in bohemian braids in order for her to attend school. Youth has been out of school for over two weeks and will not return for the remainder of the school year, unless her hair is braided. The cost of the hair style is $180 and the caregiver is unable to pay for the hairstyle.

Please help us to meet the need for a powered mower. We have an adult son thriving in our recovery community who provides care for his aging mother. He is reestablishing a life in sobriety and she is on a fixed income, so their resources are limited. They're currently unable to mow her lawn. Thank you blessing this family!

There is a 18 year-old senior who was previously a foster child. The court had granted an aunt permanent managing conservatorship of her in her early teens. Before the age of 17 years old, her and her aunt had some disagreements and she was kicked out of her aunt's home. She has been couch surfing with relatives and friends, but has had to take care of herself over the last year. She does not have any family supports. She currently lives with two roommates, but has to maintain a job while preparing to graduate in two weeks. During Christmas a teacher donated a gift card where I was able to buy her hygiene products and toiletries. She has made those last up until this last week. The student just needs more to get her through the next couple weeks. She will sustain herself once she graduates by living with her boyfriend's family. However, she does not want to risk burdening them before she moves in so she tries to independently care for her own needs. Currently, she needs special shampoo and conditioner and body wash due to her allergies and some other hygiene products. She is also in need of a couple groceries to get her through this next two weeks. A gift card or even providing specific groceries due to space and time would benefit her greatly. Also, any emotional support or kindness would go a long way with this student as she prepares to graduate with little family supports.

2 senior individuals with disabilities were placed in protective custody due to living conditions exploitation sexual and physical abuse. We are asking for help with community resources that may be able to assist these 2 elderly disabled individuals with mentorship, gift cards for local fastfood due to where they were placed they only have access to a microwave. Any financial assistance would greatly be appreciated to ensure securement of their room at motel until further placement arrangements can be made. What we are needing is..

1. Financial assistance for motel for approx. 1 month and transportation
2. Resources for food,clothing,mentorship transportation,housing
3. fast food gift cards so these 2 individuals can have at least 1 hot meal.

A member of Doxa shared a request where they would benefit in having another bed since they assist their neighbor kids while their mom works doubles to make ends meet. Having a bed will allow her to serve the kids in having their own space when they spend the evenings over.

We are in urgent need of funding to purchase two mattresses (we highly recommend with waterproof covers) for a foster family who is working to get siblings placed in their home. As part of the placement transition, they will be hosting the children for some overnight visits soon and they have worked to purchase beds for their home. As a result, they are asking for help in purchasing the mattresses to put on the beds due to the sudden financial strain. These kids will be looking to make this home a permanent placement, so these items would be for use long into the future. Mom is in need of two window air conditioner units for her apartment. Currently, the children are not able to sleep in their rooms because of the temperature (either too hot in the summer or no heat in the winter). Mom also needs a twin size mattress for a bedframe that she has for her daughter.
