A single mother called saying her son is outgrowing his clothing and needs a bigger size. He is in need of Men's Lg clothing. He also needs a size 8 or 9 men's shoe. They could also benefit from hygiene and cleaning supplies.

A woman just out of a DV situation is living with a friend and just got her 2 children back. One is a newborn baby girl, and the other is a 4 yr old girl. She is requesting clothing for all of them, plus diapers, wipes, and pullups.

A single mother just left an abusive relationship and has no belongings. Mom has been working diligently to acquire all of her needs and has gotten everything except for a car seat. The child's father is refusing to give mom the car seat so mom will call her when she needs to leave her new home.

This young woman is new to the area and has no family to assist her. Shortly after moving here, she discovered she was pregnant. Despite being heavily pressured to abort, she is courageously trying to carry this pregnancy to term. Lacking support and resources, she and her unborn child now find themselves in a very vulnerable position. She has requested a stroller with an attachable car seat to assist her in the process of preparing for her little one. Any additional support you can offer would be most welcome as well. Legacy Elementary School has approximately 700 students in grades 1-5. They are in need of basic hygiene items and clothing for students who have mishaps that may require them to change clothes during the school day. When these mishaps occur, parents/guardians are not always able to bring a change of clothes to the school, and the students are missing valuable class time and instruction while waiting in the nurse's office. By having these items available at school, the students can quickly change clothes and return to class, which improves attendance and lessens the chance of embarrassment for the children. The school is requesting shampoo, conditioner, bars of soap, deoderant, boys' underwear (sizes 6-12), boys' shorts/pants (sizes 6-14), boys' shirts (sizes 10-14), girls' shorts/pants/leggings (sizes 6-14), and girls' shirts (sizes 10-14). Thank you for your willingness to be a blessing to our elementary students!

A single mom has a home that is in need of extermination services. She has been working on clearing out any unwanted items in the home and painting the walls and such. Mom doesn't want to bring anything into the home until after the extermination has occurred. This is the only issue preventing reunification with her child. Mom was able to get an estimate from a company for $1600 and was court ordered to come up with half of the money. Mom has been able to save her half of the money and enough money to cover hotel costs while she is away from the home. It would be wonderful if we could get this issue resolved and have her child back in the home after school is out.

Requesting assistance with providing bedding for two female children (3 year old and 10 year old) recently placed with their aunt and uncle. The girls share a bedroom, thus two twin beds (along with box spring, frame, mattress, bedding) or a bunk bed (along with mattresses and bedding) would be perfect. The girls are currently sharing an air mattress. Due to this being a new case, there is a high probability the children will be in relative care for several months or longer. A more permanent bedding arrangement would make the girls happy and provide a safe space. Due to the sudden placement, the relatives were not prepared/able to spend funds already allocated to other expenses. Any assistance with this request would help preserve a kinship placement.

Please consider helping a single mom and her 2 year old daughter here in our Scottsville community. They are in need of a refrigerator as theirs went out and now they do not have one. This would help them keep cold food instead of just shelf food for meals. This single mom works multiple jobs including an in-home bakery. Appliances are very expensive and finances are tight for her. Not only would this help with their food but it would also help her continue her business and the flow of income.

We have contacted Doug's Maytag in Scottsville and they have a new Amana for $667 or a new Whirlpool for $754. There is a $79 delivery fee and they will remove and dispose of the old one for her.

Please help us to meet the need for a powered mower. We have an adult son thriving in our recovery community who provides care for his aging mother.
