This senior citizen is raising two young children that are of no relation to her. This lady heard of a church member's grandchildren going into the foster system and decided to offer help. Both biological parents are either on drugs or unwilling to offer any help. The children are ages two and four and both are special needs. Both are still wearing diapers and pull-ups. The expenses of having two small children is becoming overwhelming. They are currently living in a house, but will downsize to an apartment soon. Due to all the current expenses, they are in need of help with clothes for both children. They are growing and need summer clothes. They are willing to take a gift card to any kids clothing store or Walmart to purchase clothes. They are also in need of shoes and socks .

A child who was placed in DHS custody 2 weeks ago will be turning 18 years old on Saturday. She's currently in a youth shelter in Ardmore and as we were planning for her transition to adulthood, we realized there are things she needs we haven't been able to provide due to the short time in DHS custody.

When she returns to Tulsa on Saturday, she will need a Tulsa bus pass and a pre paid cell phone so she can get around Tulsa to apply for housing, attend medical appointments and look for a job. She plans to be a server until she can go to cosmetology school or veterinary tech school.

The Oklahoma Successful Adulthood program can assist her in the future but not before Saturday.

Please consider assisting this youth transition to adulthood.

Caroline had a fire in her home few weeks ago, and was not able to recover much of her apartment. She has relocated to a new place, but she is in need of basic furniture for safety of children and comfort.

The caregiver recently got placement of her young grandson and also has 3 other children currently residing in her home. She has been approved for ELC for daycare however she is needing assistance with the registration fees. This caregiver is the sole provider of the home and has no assistance with the children in her care. The children are not school-aged so the caregiver has had to take an extended period of time off from work and has fallen behind on bills. The caregiver is looking to increase her hours in order to catch up on bills and stabilize her and the children’s living situation. She needs to put the children in daycare but is struggling to come up with the money for the registration fees.

When the request is met, the children will be able to start daycare and the caregiver will have the ability to work more hours in order to maintain a stable environment for the children.

Single working mom of one child is requesting help with paying her car note. Mom recently returned to work and needs assistance . \She has been able to make past due bills and rent along with insurance to remain compliant, but does not want car to note fall behind.

A family has contacted our church in need of help to pay their rent for $1,100. We were able to provide $500 from our church. They are still in need of $600.00 to keep from being evicted. This is a single mother with a teen son and younger daughter. the mother has been sick for a few weeks and was short on her rent. She has also been helping her sister with a serious medical condition. Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to provide this family.

Mother expecting 2nd child on 5/23. This child’s father is not involved, although has support from 1st child FOB. Both unemployed and without finances to put towards listed items. This mother was recently enrolled in our program for her 2nd child, although we did have her 5 years ago when her 1st child was born. Since our initial enrollment, this mother has shown much growth in her recovery and mental health. We have provided other resources in the community, although family has not been successful in obtaining these items. Any assistance available would be beneficial to this family- thank you!
