Single mother of two was recently laid off due to her not having childcare. The mother was taken five-year-old child to work with her to continue to make ends meet. She is a recent divorce, and former husband is not willing to help. Family is facing eviction June 25, 2025, if mother doesn’t pay pass due rent ($1,192) and late fees.

Pregnant Single mother with 7 children total currently staying in hotel needing help with hotel expenses. The hotel is $67 a night. The family is currently working with other community agencies to get placed in a shelter or other forms of housing.

This request supports a family we recently assisted with groceries, gas, and birthday items. The mother, who earns $500 weekly, has been staying with her mother for the past year while working toward stable housing. As our relationship with this family has strengthened, the mother has felt comfortable sharing additional needs. Our main goal for this family is stabilization, and Lighthouse is committed to doing everything in our power to support them. One of the children has a skin condition requiring specific products, and the family needs sleeping accommodations, summer program supplies, and clothing. Given the mother's work schedule and childcare responsibilities, she is unable to shop for these items but trusts my judgment in selecting appropriate options. I will accompany whoever takes on this request to ensure we select items that meet the family's specific needs, then step back so the team can deliver them directly to the family. Immediate needs include queen-size air mattress; summer clothing for all 3 children, including: swimwear, beach towels, underwear, socks, and shoes + training bras for the eldest girl; lunch supplies (lunch boxes, insulated thermoses); toiletries (Aquaphor for child's eczema (one tub for home, one for school), Method body wash, deodorant for mom, sunscreen and bug spray), and allergen-free laundry detergent.

Client moved in with cousins and her brother. They moved to a bigger place where they are able to have their own room.

Minor is graduating middle school and has been working really hard to meet the requirements. She has had major setbacks this year, with the death of a sibling, the incarceration of her mom, and the absence of her father. Minor is in foster care, and it has been a tremendous adjustment given her severe trauma. She has worked very hard to makeup work, improve her grades and was finally informed she will be culminating this month. This is truly a big deal for this youth, she has faced several obstacles including having an IEP, being a Regional Center client, and stabilizing her mental health. Asking for a spa day for two to Bliss Nails and Spa in Lancaster, closest to her home. The full spa nails experience is about 120 per person. This is truly a big deal for this youth. Would like for the youth to feel like a normal teenager for a day.

Family of four is facing eviction July 17, 2025. Family needs $7,000 to keep their family together and current home. Father recently laid off from work and is looking for long term employment. Father is a licensed painter and willing to work.

A young family of 2 children ages 1 and 7 years old are requesting a dryer as they moved into a house from an apartment. The couple have been here from Venezuela for about 2.5 years and help out at Centro Cristiano a Las Naciones with leading music. They moved from an apartment which had a washer and dryer and now they need to provide for their own. The father is looking for work and does odd jobs to help pay for rent, bills, food, clothing, etc. A dryer will help mom take care of her kids so that they will be able to attend school and help their hygiene. A single mother of 5 children missed quite some time from work due to unforeseen behavior issues with her 7-year-old son, who has since been diagnosed with ADHD and ODD. Due to these conditions, her son was not able to stay in school full days and she had to stop working for seven months until she was able to get him approved through his insurance for an in school one-on-one counselor, a smaller classroom setting and also a 504/IEP plan. Now that he has those, she has been able to get another job but won’t get paid until June 30th. She has fallen behind on her rent and several other bills. I am requesting help with the following bills: rent for May $833, she has worked out a payment plan with her landlord for the remaining balance if she can get May’s rent paid; light bill $274 and that is with an approval for cooling assistance from social services which starts on 6/15, her disconnect is for 6/16; water bill $54.37 which also has a disconnect for 6/16. I am also requesting assistance with food and gas money. Mom reached out to her social worker about all these requests, but worker was not able to process her snap application in time for her to receive benefits for June, so she won’t receive any snap benefits until July 4. She also needs money for gas to get to her job.
