This is a single mom and her teenage daughter. They live in a tiny one-bedroom apartment in Newton. They have limited space and need storage options. They are trying to get their apartment clean and clear from clutter to avoid daughter being removed from the home. Mother is not employed, and they are both on disability currently, so they also have limited funds available to get the things they need for storage.

We are currently working with a kinship foster mom who has taken in her nieces child. Foster mom has jumped in and nearly gotten fully approved and they are working on adoption as soon as time permits. The family is needing help with obtaining a dresser in order to help with the items she is getting for the child. if you have the ability to help with this need let me know and i would be happy to connect you with the family!

This sweet family recently took in a newborn baby and the formula that baby needs is not provided by WIC. The formula we are requesting for the baby can be purchased at Target and is Bobbie Organic Gentle Infant Formula (milk-based powder with iron).

Child was recently placed in the care of her father after being removed from her mother. The father needs assistance with a mattress to ensure his daughter is comfortable in his care

Single parent household with two children. Mom's phone is currently shut off and owes about $140 to get it turned back on. Unable to get needed services in place without phone service. Utility assistance is also needed. DTE Energy bill of $524 (shut off notice).

Bio mom of 5 children just started new job after missing 7 months of work due to her young son's behavioral issues at school. He is now been diagnosed with ADHD and ODD and is receiving the help he needs. As a result of missing so much work, she is behind on some critical bills. She needs to pay $265 for a title loan on her car to prevent repossession. She also needs to pay the West End Center $280 for them to keep her kid for the summer so she can work. She is also requesting a Wal-Mart gift card to buy her kids swim trunks and shoes for their daycare as well as toiletry and household items needed.

One of our own church members who is elderly and disabled is seeking assistance with creating a new home in an apartment. She is needing some basic needs to furnish her home. Some people have already donated a couch, bed, dresser and blender. She is needing the following items: TV (24-32"), TV stand, dining room table and chairs, dinnerware set, vacuum cleaner, pots and pans, microwave oven, set of bathroom towels (bath, washcloth, hand towel), shower curtain, queen-sized bedding set, and kitchen towels. She will be moving to her new apartment later in June.

Gently used items are acceptable for the furniture, microwave and dishes.
