We are currently working with a dedicated young woman, age 18, who is doing everything she can to support and stabilize her family. She is hoping to gain custody of her younger siblings (ages 15, 16, and 13) because she feels their mother, who is currently unemployed, is not in a position to properly care for them. She has already taken on many of the responsibilities of caring for them and wants to provide them with a more stable and healthy environment.

She was previously employed and regularly visited the food bank to help provide for her family. However, her only mode of transportation recently broke down, which led to the loss of her job and made it impossible for her to continue accessing the food bank. She is actively seeking new employment but is in urgent need of financial assistance for transportation so she can begin to rebuild stability.

In addition to financial help, she would benefit greatly from emotional and community support. She feels overwhelmed and alone in her efforts, yet she remains deeply committed to giving her siblings a better life—one free from the difficult cycle they’ve been living in.

Any assistance with transportation, job referrals, food access, or community support would make a meaningful and lasting impact.

A dedicated grandmother stepped up to care for her two young granddaughters when they needed her most. What was expected to be a temporary arrangement has now become a permanent placement—and she’s embraced this role with love, patience, and unwavering commitment.

To provide the best possible care, the kinship provider took time off work to focus fully on the girls’ needs. Now that the case plan is clear, she’s ready to return to work and has found a promising job opportunity. The only remaining barrier is a $70 certification: QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Person), which is also a valuable asset in supporting one of the girls, who has special needs.

She hasn’t asked for any other support throughout this case, and this one-time help would go a long way. Your contribution would directly support a caregiver who has shown extraordinary dedication—and help her move forward with stability and strength.

Child is having a tough time finding safe, healthy ways to express difficult emotions. To better support kiddo and their sister, their caregiver has chosen not to work this summer—prioritizing supervision, structure, and emotional support during this critical time.

One opportunity that could make a big difference is flag football. It's not just a sport—it’s a chance for the child to build confidence, learn teamwork, and have a positive outlet for her energy and emotions.

The caregiver paid $184 out of pocket on June 6, 2025, to enroll the kiddo in the program. We're asking for help to reimburse that amount so the family can continue putting their limited stipend toward essentials—especially food, which is currently their biggest expense.

A therapeutic foster mom has opened her heart and home to a special needs non-verbal 15-year-old boy. To help continue to care for him, he needs new bedding - including a full mattress, box spring, mattress cover (waterproof), pillows and pillowcases. The bedding he currently has become soiled by him and needs to be replaced. - It would be helpful to the foster parent to have more than one set of bedding as well as more than one mattress cover that is waterproof.

The caregiver has been a consistent participant in our support groups and is requesting support in purchasing a portable heater and a walker. She is head of household and is the caregiver to a nine year old girl. Unfortunately, at this time, her expenses are greater than her income and is unable to purchase these items on her own. The caregiver is unable to be in the cold due to her bones hurting and is also experiencing mobility issues.

A family from Lincoln got a notice from the Health Department last week that their rental is being condemned due to lead poisoning. They will be moving out tomorrow and searching for another rental. The family needs some time to be able to find a home that fits their budget and time to be able to strengthen the health of their kids who have been impacted by the lead. We are hoping to provide the family with a one week hotel stay, some giftcards for meals and homecook meals while they are without a kitchen. This family is naturally on top of things; however, this has a large impact on them. What a great way to show and share the love of Jesus with them by stepping in.

This request is for a single mom who has four children- 11 years, 7 years, 1 year, & 2 months. She has no transportation, so she is walking the family everywhere. Given the ages of the children, they all have to go out together. The double stroller is for the 1 year-old and the baby, to make outings more feasible and safe. The donation can be new or gently used. You can drop the stroller off at Woodstock City Church or at Children's Haven, whichever is more convenient.

There is a family with four children, 3 of which are special needs, that got placed in police protective custody this week due to abuse. The children were removed and all 4 (ages 6,4,4,3) are needing beds for their placements. This is an evolving situation and other needs may arise, but the beds are the most immediate need. A local family in need has been identified by our church. She lost her job and is trying to sell her house because otherwise she is going to lose it. This is one of those situations where circumstances have snowballed into a big mess. She's trying to get back on her feet, but the burden is heavy and discouraging. She needs a hand up. They have food for today and tomorrow. We would like to offer assistance with alleviating some of the bills that are piling up and helping the family to secure quality food options.

We are seeking the funds to pay their electricity bill so that the power can remain on, the phone bill so that she can maintain contact with their realtor as they try to sell the house, and funds for a grocery gift card.

Hey BC fam! We have a foster family in our church that has welcomed newborn twins into their home and is in urgent need of formula support. The babies consume one $40 can per day. The family is asking for $1,200 over the next 4 weeks as WIC will cover the cost after that. Your generosity will help provide essential nourishment during this critical time.
