Story
We have a family who is struggling financially and are unable to get a crib for their 7-month-old baby. The minor mother and her baby reside with the maternal grandmother, who is currently unemployed. The minor mother is attending high school and is slated to graduate next year and plans to attend college to be able to provide a better life for her and her child. The minor mother is co-sleeping with the baby and is in need of a crib so that the baby can sleep independently. Providing these basic necessities would diminish the emotional stressors on the family. By fulfilling this request, it would help the Department reduce the family's financial burden and help prevent court involvement and ensure family stability and a safe sleeping arrangements for the baby.
