A 74-year-old grandmother is doing everything she can to care for her three young grandchildren while facing serious health challenges of her own. With both parents incarcerated, she has stepped in as their full-time caregiver. She lives on a fixed income and is retired, making it incredibly difficult to manage unexpected expenses—especially home repairs. Her home, which is fully paid off, is the only stable place she can offer the children. Moving to an apartment isn’t financially possible, so she’s determined to stay and keep the family together. She is seeking support getting her trees trimmed down in her backyard because the branches are causing damage to her roof and gutters. At this time, she cannot afford to have them cut. On top of this, she’s preparing for a possible pacemaker and heart surgery. She has reached out to local organizations for help, but none have been able to assist. We’re hoping a volunteer or community partner might step forward to help cut the trees, so it would not cause any damage to the home.

Recently, the fascia on her home began to hang loose and is now striking the bathroom window. She’s deeply concerned it will shatter the glass, putting her and the children at risk.

On top of this, she’s preparing for a possible pacemaker and heart surgery. She has reached out to local organizations for help, but none have been able to assist. We’re hoping a volunteer or community partner might step forward to help repair or replace the fascia to ensure this family can stay safe and secure in their home.

Mom is a single mother of two young children ages 13 and 5. Mom has recently left a domestic violence relationship and is trying to get back on her feet to provide for her children. Mom is the sole provider and does not work. The oldest child's father is deceased and the youngest's father currently lives in another state. Then family needs these items so the children can have appropriate/ clean bedding and clothing to wear. Children's home caught fire they all lost belongings, they have been placed with grandmother who has a very limited income. They are in need of clothing/shoes/ and undergarments, the children are big for their age and wear adult sizes.

This request is made with the purpose of supporting the kinship placement of a 2-year-old girl who has recently been placed in the care of her older sibling. Due to a family tragedy, the older sibling, who has just turned eighteen, is now taking on the significant responsibility of raising her younger sibling. As she navigates the challenges of motherhood, she is also balancing the demands of her own finances and education.

The caregiver's request is for size 4 diapers (any brand) and unscented wipes, as these items would greatly alleviate some of her daily burdens. The caregiver is deeply grateful for any support offered and would be forever thankful for this assistance.

A mother in San Francisco has recently begun her trial reunification with her three boys. She has worked really hard to get her boys back, but has very low income. Our hope is that with some tangible support, to ease some of the financial burdens, this reunification will be successful and they can begin to move forward from their time apart.

All three boys love the colors red, white, and black. Gently used items in good condition are welcomed.

A family recently arrived from Africa fleeing their war-torn community. Dad, mom (who was pregnant with twins), and 3 children (ages 11, 9 and 6) travelled 2,500 miles, a good portion of it on foot, praying that they would be able to stay together and would be safe. The family was given refugee status and brought to America. They are in an apartment and do not know the language yet. Dad and mom are trying to set up a new home with their 5 children and have received assistance from His Helping Hands for furniture.

A Pathway member has met some of their other needs as she walks with them and one of their twins who has special needs.

Their current, most immediate needs are for a double stroller for the twins and preemie diapers. Thank you for supporting this family.

A single mom with 5 children (age ranges of 2 to 13) is struggling and could really use some support. She has had heartache after heartache over the past few years. The children's father is unable to work and be in the household due to mental illness and prior to all of this she was a stay at home mom. She has been actively trying to find work but the cost of child care has made it nearly impossible for her to do this. The primary vehicle is a large suburban which is expensive to fill up-a gas card would help with this as well as a gift card to Walmart to help with groceries and other essentials. If anyone knows of a legitimate work from home job, a job that would allow a mom to bring children or affordable child care near Valley Center or Park City, please reach out in the comments.

A mother who recently left an abusive marriage is needing help with moving from a house to a two-bedroom apartment where she and her 11-year-old son will be starting their new life. She needs help moving on Saturday, April 12. She has already rented the U-Haul and really needs help with the muscle! Everything is on the ground level and there are no appliances needing to be moved. The bigger items being moved will be 2 couches, end tables, TV stand, TV, mattresses, dining room table and boxes. The move will start on Saturday at 10:00 am. Our mother and son attend Westlink campus.

A mom has recently, courageously, left an abusive marriage with her 10 year old son. She has secured employment and has found a small apartment to start over. Mom and her son had to leave everything behind so are starting over to furnish their new home. She already has beds and a dresser, and someone has helped provide needed items for her bathroom.

This family still needs a couch, small kitchen table with 2 chairs, broom with dustpan, Swiffer wet mop, small vacuum for laminate flooring, pizza cutter and other kitchen utensils, dish drainer, spices, a coffee table and small bookshelf.

Mom is walking with a friend and Pathway member back to a healthy environment for her and her son.
