A single father of two needs assistance in purchasing a medical device for one of his special needs children, age 16, who has diagnoses of autism and Type 1 Diabetes. The father has limited financial resources to be able to independently afford a Ketone Blood Meter kit and additional test strips and would appreciate assistance in purchasing these items.

Individuals with diabetes, particularly Type 1, need to be especially vigilant about checking ketone levels. High ketone levels can indicate a risk of diabetic ketoacidosis (a serious condition for those with diabetes). With this device, the father will be able to monitor his child's blood ketone levels and determine if immediate medical attention is required.

A single mom who has 2 girls with traumatic pasts that include family disruptions and homelessness, are need of materials to better their coping skills and strengthen their family bonds. Materials needed are: -2 journals and gel pens -Tracing paper -Colored pencils -crayons -sketch pads -tape -organizers to keep the materials in -Games: SkipBo, Disney Monopoly, Candyland, Sorry, Trouble and a bin to store games in

Children were placed in foster care due to mental health concerns for their mother. The mother has worked hard in her counseling sessions and is looking to reunify with her children, however, she is at risk of eviction due to concerns of the apartment complex management for the condition of the home. The mother does not have a vacuum or appropriate cleaning supplies to properly clean her home. The children are looking forward to coming home to live with their mother, however, this barrier is standing in the way of reunification. The mother needs floor cleaner, a mop, a broom and disinfectant spray.

The family is made up of a single mom and her 2 year old child. The child is currently growing out of her crib and needs to transition to a toddler bed. At this time, the child is sleeping on her crib mattress on the floor. The family is looking for a toddler sized bed frame for the child, to replace the crib. The mother has limited financial resources.

This family is made up of parents, one adult son and a teenaged daughter. The family is also caring for their niece, whose mother is homeless. The family has been treating the home for bed bugs and unfortunately have to throw out the mattresses, as they were infested with bed bugs. The infestation was addressed approx. 3 months ago, as a result all of the mattresses in the home were thrown out. The family has been sleeping on blow up air mattresses. The family was able to secure a toddler/crib mattress however are unable to afford to replace the mattresses they were forced to throw out .

The family is looking to replace 3 mattresses, 2 queen and 1 twin.

A family who was recently separated and have been reunified are in need of summer clothing and a crib mattress.

A low income mother and father have 6 children. One of their sons has special needs and is autistic. Due to some of the child's behaviors, he currently has no mattress to sleep. The mother and father are unable to purchase it on their own. They would really benefit from the community's support to provide a mattress for their son! Thank you!

This is a family of 4 that lives in a home with no central air conditioning. There is very little free air flow through the residence. There are people within the home that have medical conditions exacerbated by the heat. They do not have the additional income to purchase air conditioning units on their own. Walmart in Queensbury has new window units for $139 per unit the link is provided. I am sure the family would accept any AC unit if in working condition. A family of 5 requesting summer items for the children. The family is currently homeless and being housed by DSS in a motel due to losing their home in a fire last year. They are still working to obtain a permanent residence. With summer coming the children would benefit from some summer clothes and some items to use while playing outside.

This family is made up of a single mom with three children. The mother has a do it all attitude and is always willing to attempt to make the impossible possible to ensure her children are safe and happy. The mother and her children are consistently there for other family members who are dealing with various health difficulties. Recently, the family was able to move into an apartment from a motel. The mother gives her resources and time to other family members in need, leaving her with no funds to furnish the new apartment. The family finally caught a break and could use assistance in turning this new apartment into a home.

The twin bed sets will be for one boy and one girl. The Clothing needed for the children is boys size 14-16 pants and toddler size 2-3 pants. The clothing needed for adult is men's size 8.5 shoes.

This family is made up of dad, stepmom and 8yo child. The father and stepmother have medical conditions which they use marijuana for. Currently the marijuana in the home is not locked up. The parents are looking for a lockbox to properly secure the marijuana so the 8yo cannot access it.

To whom it may concern, I am making this request in efforts to assist a mother and father who have 7 children. The family was recently placed in motel through Washington County DSS due to unsafe living conditions at their prior residence. The family has since secured stable housing and have moved into a new place; however, they now have limited furniture due to being forced to vacate their prior residence in a hurry. The family has received 6 new twin mattresses for the older children, however they are in need of bunk bed frames to get the mattresses up off the floor. The youngest child is 4 months and has appropriate sleeping arrangements. The family struggles financially and cannot afford to purchase bunk bed frames at this time.
