A 19 & 1/2 yr. old single mother with a one(1) year old daughter who resides in a 2-bedroom apartment, needs assistance with getting furniture’s: dressers, table with chairs and a sofa.

Mom is requesting this assistance to help her and her husband acquire baby items for their new baby. She currently has a 5 yr old and had gotten rid of any baby items she used with her past baby so she is starting from zero. Mom works as a Nail Tech and her husband also works, however, they both make only enough to cover their basic expenses. Additionally, their employers do not offer or provide paid Maternity/Paternity Leave. Mom has been saving up her money from work to be able to cover her expenses during her Maternity Leave, but she does not have enough for and still needs a crib. Mom, who is due in May, also wanted a baby bathtub and baby swing but will greatly appreciative of any help provided.

This family is coming out of the shelter system. Mom is married and the family endured domestic violence. The husband has been refrained from the family by order of protection and mom was recently let go from her job due to her being absent a lot to cover her injuries. Many at times on her face. She has 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl. She is also the caretaker for her mom ,she is in shelter with them. Mom was recently granted a placement after 2 years. Mom is working on providing a safe haven for her family. The shelter did provide her blow up beds. But through her savings she was able to secure beds for them . They are in need of bedding and dressers. It is our prayer and goal that we support this family's independence and help them move on to self sufficiency by creating a new life-style experience . The sooner we can help them to evolve the more brighter they will become.

This family is coming out of the shelter system after a stint in a DV shelter. She has two boys. One has delays and the other one is slightly autistic. She is starting and establishing a totally new home. She has secured beds for the boys but she does not have dressers for their clothing. They are using garbage bags. To be able to secure these items would help them a lot. The family could also benefit from bedding for the 2 boys and the mom as well. These items would be beneficial for her morale and help build up her self esteem. Her main focus has been making sure the boys are okay. I want to now help her become okay and feel that she is worthy. And nothing feels more worthy than a bed with nice sheets etc.

We have two young moms living in a shelter that will be having babies next week. They don't have a car seat for the infants and will not be able to leave the hospital without having them. This would be such a relief for these young mothers to not have to worry about how to provide these necessary infant seats and to be able to focus on their newborns.

A grandmother is raising her 3 grandchildren and in desperate need of a PORTABLE DRYER. She lives on the 8th floor and has trouble getting to the laundry mat with so many clothes for the children. This would help her to be able to spend more time with them and make sure they have clean clothes all the time.

Bio family consisting of mom and daughter, currently residing in a shelter. Achiever, age 11, is in need of a dresser to store clothes and toys. The Caregiver is attempting to foster responsibility and accountability for her belongings. This dresser will replace her broken one and provide an essential need to this family.
