An older youth I work with is graduating next Sunday. He doesn’t have many supports in his life and will be transitioning into an apartment program this summer. I’d love to be able to give him a graduation gift to help him during this next chapter. If possible, I’m hoping to collect a few gift cards to support him as he takes this important step forward.

18 you female is wanting to live with her biological sister. In order for her to be licensed they need a 5lb fire extinguisher.

This is a single mom, who is trying to do her best to raise her 3 children. One of the children has special needs. The family is in need of door alarms to ensure the safety of the children. They need a total of at least 3 alarms. Walmart has 4 in a pack.

These 2 children, a 10 y/o and a 7 y/o, have been back in their home, with their dad, for the last 6 months. This family has had to overcome a lot to get to where they are now. However, the dad is behind on his utility bill and owes approximately $1200. City Utilities has given him until May 30th to pay the bill off. If utilities in the home were to be shut off, the children would have to be removed from their home again.

This dad has been paying $300-400 per month to keep the utilities on. He has been unable to work for over a year due to medical issues, and he is working on his disability case right now to try to get more income. I understand $1200 is a lot to ask for, but they will accept any amount of help they can get. This dad has done everything he can for his children, and he just needs some help to get back on his feet.

We are working on achieving permissive placement for an infant and his father who we just received paternity on. The father is appropriate and able to have his son placed with him. He has everything he needs for an infant except for a crib. We have court coming up on 5/12 and would like to move the child into the father's home asap after that date.

Bio mom needs a toddler bed for her 2 year old. Team hopes to reunify this family in a couple months.

Single mom needs several booster seats and car seats for her 4 boys under the age of 5. Team plans to reunify this family within a few months. Mom is doing really well!

A kinship placement with five older youth (three children in care and two other children) in the home is in need of grocery assistance. Placement is still fairly new and she is waiting on monthly maintenance payments and doesn't have enough money to provide groceries for herself and the youth in the home. Easy meals for the kiddos to make or a Walmart gift card would be appreciated!

Family friends took placement of 3 children after the children were placed in foster care. They have children of their own and now have 3 more to take care of. This family is struggling with basic necessary items in order to care for the additional children. They are in need of a high back booster car seat so that car rides are safe.

I am working with a mother who has 5 children on trial home visit. The family suffered a tragic loss leading to some very hard times financially and emotionally. Due to this, the bill for utilities has gotten pretty far behind and has been shut off in the recent past. The mother has been able to gather enough money to keep the utilities on over the last month but is several months behind and needs help catching up. This mother has made incredible progress and is able to provide a beautiful home for her children. She is just struggling to catch up on some bills right now and could use some help with her utility bill. Paying all or a portion of the bill would be very helpful.

I am working with a sweet 11 year old young lady who just moved back in with her mother and siblings. She needs a dresser in her bedroom and a shelf for her personal things. She has a nice sized bedroom and would benefit from something that would hold her shorts/socks and items like that. She also needs a place to store books and toys. She is all girl and has a twin bed. It would be wonderful if she could also get a few wall hangings and comforter to "girl" up her room a bit. It doesn't have to match but would be nice to help her feel great about herself and her room.

Help an older youth work toward independence! An older youth in transitional living is working hard to become independent before exiting care. In December he was able to save enough money for a bicycle to cover his transportation needs for work. Last month he got a drivers license and wants to save for his first car. He recently was able to get full-time work because of the independence his bike provided. This job now means he can support himself and begin to save for his future after exiting care. Unfortunately, his bike was stolen this past week- he found only pieces of his lock left. The bus system does not match his shifts and he is depending on others for rides or spending his pay on transport services to keep his job. A new bike (with a good lock) would help him regain his ability to work hard towards his independence without continuing to spend money he could use or save.
