We have grandparents on the road to adoption of their sweet grandson. The grandparents recently received a shelf to put in grandson’s room but need assistance with assembling it. We are hoping a volunteer can come and help the grandparents put this shelf together. If you can help, please reach out to us and let us connect you!

I’m reaching out with an urgent request to support a mother who is working hard to rebuild her life. After successfully getting back on her feet and maintaining sobriety, she recently encountered a major setback—she lost her job unexpectedly. She is actively seeking new employment and applying to several opportunities, but her rent for her sober living program is due this Friday, June 13th, and she is currently unable to cover the cost. Without assistance, she risks losing the stable and supportive housing that has been a critical part of her recovery journey. We are asking for any financial support you may be able to provide to help her cover this rent payment and stay on the path she’s worked so hard to stay on.

A hardworking father has made lots of progress toward reunifying with his three children, which are currently in his care and they are so close to being officially reunified with the case successfully closed. The father unfortunately lost his employment was able to quickly find new employment but is in need of some tools to begin his new opportunity. The father needs a screw gun, hammer, speed square, torpedo level, box knife, and tape measure. This parent has overcome numerous barriers and has almost reached the point of full self sufficiency for his family. Please help him overcome this new barrier with helping him to obtain some tools for his new job. The three children have also begun child care now that school is out, and there are activities at the child care center that require an extra fee of $20 per child to participate in activities at their child care.

This summer, one of the boys in our program is excited to participate in a summer football camp hosted by a local high school in our area. This 7-week program is designed to improve overall strength, speed, and agility, helping young athletes prepare mentally and physically for the season ahead.

The Genesis Project has incorporated a "campus cash" store in which children are encouraged to earn "campus cash" and then purchase special items in the campus cash store. Children can earn "campus cash" by asking and completing extra chores, exhibiting positive behaviors with adults and peers, completing learning modules, and reaching therapy goals. The campus cash store has items that include new toys, books, remote controlled cars, hot wheels play sets, legos, new footballs, soccer balls, frisbees, squishy toys, fidgets, stuffed animals, and action figures. Once a week, the boys come to the campus cash store and purchase these items. The campus cash program teaches residents a variety of skills including money management, basic banking skills, saving skills, good purchasing skills, negotiation skills, and delayed gratification. This simple program helps develop a strong foundation for seeing how hard work and appropriate behaviors are rewarded for a basic life skill that will have a lasting impact through adulthood.
Our campus cash store is in need of "pre- teen" items. As each child is unique and has individual interests, the Genesis project is requesting gift cards to "Five and Below" stores. We are also interested in receiving donations of fishing tackle; men's body spray; NFL or OK university gear (caps, posters), cheap neck chains, magnetic dart boards, beanies, soccer slides, wallets, digital watches, snacks.

I have a young bio parents’ mom (21) and dad (28) will be traveling on a a 3-hour trip one way) to visit their 7 months old twins who are in foster care. Dad is the only parent working currently. The parents plan to make this trip every two weeks. The parents have reliable transportation but need assistance in making the trip. The parents last saw their 7 months old twins on 05/027.

Placement of two children of my home has faced financial struggles since losing job. This placement has stepped up in a critical time for the family to help with placement for the children. They would greatly benefit from some financial assistance with their electric bill. The electric bill is $670 past due and was put on a payment arrangement due to financial struggles but have not been able to pay the payment arrangement so all past due amount is due within 48 hours.

This request is for a family who is headed towards adoption with their medically fragile placement. Their little girl has made tremendous progress in OT, PT, Speech, and feeding tube therapy. She has improved in every way - she could barely walk, and she has now graduated from PT. She was not able to drink, and nobody could get even near her mouth, but now she is able to drink now. Unfortunately, the drink that provides enough nutrients for her to not use her feeding tube is very expensive. This request is for those special drinks that help encourage her independence and growth. These drinks are available on Amazon, the family would appreciate as many as possible.

Rent assistance in the amount of $300 is needed immediately. Mother has just began working but is $600+ in arrears, but a portion of the monies should stave off possible eviction. Mother has recently came back from a relapse and is working diligently to get back on her feet. She has been doing very well and looks to get her rent caught up and begin some unsupervised visitations with her child while in her new home. She is currently residing in a sober living home that is continuing to support and provide her proper care. Our request is to assist mother with her rent so therefore we can continue the efforts of Trial Reunification and have a successful story with this family.

The caregivers need some help with getting a 10 yr old some summer clothing. This will help as the caregivers are bearing much of the brunt of meeting the child's needs.

A loving and hard working father has overcome a huge amount of adversity throughout his case, but recently encountered an unexpected financial barrier and as a result he is in need of urgent assistance with his electricity bill. This father has successfully changed his circumstances to provide a long term safe home for his children but is in need of assistance to get through this unpreventable bump in the road. This father has successfully been in trial reunification with his three children for about 5 months and is close to achieving a safe case closure. The amount due for the electric bill is $292.

We are working with a kinship foster home who has taken great care of niece and nephew ages 11, 17. The foster home is needing a desk in order to help the 17 year old with her studies and her transition into post high school studies.
