A father recently reunified with his three children and is saving up for a vehicle. Until he is able to purchase a vehicle, the father's sister has been transporting the father and children where they need to go. This is becoming a strain on the family. A trolley pass would be a great help for this father, his children, and their support system. A pass can be purchased over the phone if a minimum amount of $50 is added to the pass. Any help to support this family would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Families with children with autism/ special needs often face unique challenges that can make it difficult for them to find environments where they feel comfortable and supported. Our goal is to provide families with children with these unique needs a safe place to have family time that is enclosed, sensory friendly, and has specialized play equipment to meet their needs. We Rock the Spectrum is an indoor all abilities sensory friendly kids play gym that has three locations in the OKC metro area (Edmond, Yukon and Norman). They have offered to host family time at reduced rates for children engaged with Child Welfare. This would be an excellent opportunity for parents to learn how to effectively meet their child’s needs in a safe and inclusive environment. For this to succeed, we need community support to purchase passes as each facility charges between 8 dollars to 12 dollars a pass. A foster placement is in need of financial assistance to be able to provide childcare for after school care to preserve placement of a child in need!

THIS IS A GUTHRIE PUBLIC SCHOOLS REQUEST Single mother of three children who has fallen on hard time and must leave her current living conditions due to unforeseen circumstances. She is needing assistance with moving into her new place. She is needing assistance with her deposit of $200.

Please help support this challenging kinship foster placement. An older sister has taken placement of her six younger siblings, ages 2 through 11. She also has her own 3 year old child. Together with her fiancé they live in an apartment. Having this many children in a relatively small space with all that energy is a lot! Foster mom is a stay at home mom and the family will need summer activities to get them out of their small apartment and get some energy out. The children love science, building, and learning. We are asking for a membership to the Oklahoma Science Museum. To accommodate foster mom, her own child, and the 5 foster children older than 3 we will need a membership for 6 and a membership for 2. This will also allow foster dad or another adult helper to go with the family.

I have a young bio parents’ mom (21) and dad (28) that will be traveling to Quapaw, Oklahoma which is a 3-hour trip one way) to visit their 5 months old twins who are in foster care. Dad is the only parent working currently. The parents plan to make this trip every two weeks. The parents have reliable transportation but need assistance in making the trip. The parents last saw their 5 months old twins 05/03, and 05/04 when the foster parents traveled with the 5 months old twins to Oklahoma City.

We are working with a kinship foster home who has taken in their grandchildren. The family is nearly fully approved and is taking great care of the children. The family has struggled to adjust to increased expenses and is needing help with some bills in order to stay caught up until they receive financial assistance from OHS. We have been able to get some assistance with one bill and if someone could help with this bill it would get the family caught up. If you feel that you can assist with this need let me know and I would be happy to connect you with the family.

We have a foster mother that has really gone above and beyond to help a 13 year old boy with several disabilities, and there are 3 other children in the home. She's opened her home in order to take him in and even moved to the living room so that he can have her room instead. She's been struggling with some major home repairs and we've been unable to find help for those issues. We are asking for some help with her water/municipal utilities in order offset those other expenses. Her current water bill is $201 approx. Any help is greatly appreciated!

A father has worked incredibly hard to reunify with his biological daughter. She is thriving in the home, and her father continues to work as hard as he can to support her. As he continues to set her up with everything she needs. support in finding a dresser for her would be a big step in having her home come together and ensure she has everything she needs.

We are working with a kinship foster home who has taken in their 2 month old granddaughter. The family is working hard to get fully approved and complete all items and has been taking great care of the child. The family has found bed bugs since taking the child placed and is needing help with some of the treatments for the baby's room and other rooms that they have not spread to. If you could assist with a partial amount of the treatment or if anyone knows of someone who might be able to take a look at it to make sure that family is getting a correct quote it would be greatly appreciated.

A kinship placement was found for an Oklahoma teen with her great-aunt in Illinois. We are very appreciative that the aunt stepped up to care for her niece. Accepting placement of a child into the home comes with added expenses. The aunt needs assistance obtaining a bed and dresser for the child to keep her in the home. Service providers in the area were unable to provide the items. Obtaining a bed and dresser would help keep this placement stable and keep this kiddo with family. Please take note, the family lives in Illinois and the ability for an in-person connection is not possible. The items would need to be shipped. Thank you for considering helping our Oklahoma child!

We are in a need of a new or gently used twin size bunk beds for two brothers ages 7 & 5 . They are already in trial reunification with their mother and CASA learned the boys are sharing a bed. Mother has limited income and is unsure when she'll be able to purchase bunk beds. While there is no current safety issue, the team agrees it is more appropriate for them to have their own sleeping space and have a sense of privacy. We have already reached out to other community partners with no luck. It would be a blessing if someone is able to donate bunk bed frame with mattress.
