A mother of two is in the process of moving into housing more fit for her and her children. This move is one of the final tasks needed for reintegration. The mother is hoping for assistance with her move this Friday, 5/2. She is needing help renting a U-Haul to move the belongings from her current 3-bedroom apartment. This is a local move in KCK.

A mother and her three children, who have had a significant history of homelessness need assistance with a security deposit. Family has finally secured housing and has a section 8 voucher but they are struggling with the security deposit. Getting the deposit covered will allow them to have secured housing going forward

This is a celebration of resilience and triumph. A remarkable young mother of seven has navigated a challenging journey and has been collaborating with DSS for over a year. I am thrilled to share that she has finally secured her own housing after enduring homelessness for more than a year. This courageous mother has faced and conquered domestic violence, mental health struggles for herself and her children, and the hardships of being without a home. DSS is reaching out for community support to provide gently used household items. This family is embarking on a new beginning and starts with nothing. They require essential household items to create a warm and welcoming home. Items such as couches, beds, linens, bath towels, dressers, hangers, pots, pans, forks, spoons, curtains, lamps, TVs, cleaning supplies, mops, brooms, and toys for the children are all vital for building a nurturing environment. Let's come together to make a difference!

Good morning Care portal friends, we are seeking your support to help us with a gently use or new double stroller for Mrs. S. and her babies. She is also in need of diapers size 1 and wipes while we connect her with happy bottoms. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you so much for your support and willingness to help our case managers and the families we serve.

A single mother currently has two of her children on a trial home visit while the third continues to get supportive services in a residential facility... we are hoping that the third can transition home this summer after school lets out. Additionally, the family has recently transitioned from a smaller apartment to a townhome to accommodate their need, but they are still in search of some living room furniture. It would be really wonderful if we could help furnish this family's living room so that they can enjoy spending time with one another together, rather than having to sit on the floor regularly. Ideally, we would like to help the family with one couch, one love seat, 2-3 coffee tables, a TV, and a tv stand. I am happy to coordinate transportation and delivery if necessary.

Bio mom is in need of bedding for herself and 2 children. Children have been moved around from foster home to foster home while mom is seeking treatment. Bio Mom is hoping to reunify with children soon, however, unsupervised home visits are needed to ensure children can live at home safely. The visits can start once mom has proper bedding for the children and herself. She is working hard to furnish er home and has an outside agency's support for securing beds, We are requesting assistance providing pillows, sheets and blankets for the family.

Patient is a 4-year-old male at Children's Mercy Hospital. This patient had a traumatic birth when he was first born and since then has received multiple challenging medical diagnoses. These diagnoses include neurofibromatosis (tumors in the nervous system), 22Q deletion syndrome (a genetic syndrome that causes cleft palate, immune system disorders, kidney problems, and feeding difficulties), and diagnosed global developmental delay. These diagnoses have made it incredibly difficult for patient's father to keep a job, as he frequently must stay home to take care of his child. Of note, he is a single parent after his partner left him with the baby when she became too overwhelmed to take care of him. Without a job or a second income, dad informed us that he is in danger of his electricity being shut off due to not getting this bill paid, he currently owes $997 to Evergy. He has talked with Evergy and they are willing to put him on a 3 month payment plan if he pays a deposit of $339. He has been applying for part-time jobs but has not had great luck. He is currently in the process of applying for Social Security for his child’s disability but still is unsure how much he will begin receiving. Please help with this patient so his electricity does not get shut off and even more of his medical diagnoses worsen.

A seventeen-year-old who recently entered foster care has been seeing a therapist whom he has seen for many years. She knows his situation well and he feels very comfortable seeing her for therapy. He says she's "awesome." Upon learning that the teen entered foster care, the therapist applied to take Medicaid so she could keep him as a client. However, this process takes several weeks and the teen and his placement do not have a way of paying the therapist in the meantime. Any support with this request is greatly appreciated!

This family just moved from Oklahoma to Kc area just within the last few months getting away from toxic relationship. This little family of 4 plus one on the way currently is looking to go from living in there car currently to finding a permanent space for them to live. Mom is currently about 6 months pregnant and looking to get some stability before the baby comes! She is working so hard at her current job to get them into a apartment but could use some help from her community to get her on her feet again! She is looking for some help with the a deposit for a apartment. Thank you for all your help!

A family member is taking in three young children ages 1,3, and 4. Car seats are not safe from the parents due to the condition and the family being homeless and living out of the car. Family member is needing car seats to be able to transport children to the doctors and other appointments that are needed.
