A mother with two young children in foster-care is actively leaving a domestic violence situation today. This mother left the home with nothing but the clothes on her back. Please consider donating a gift card for Walmart to this mother. She needs clothing items, hygiene items and other necessary items. This is an critical need.

Please help preserve the placement of two very busy children with their grandparents by providing the children the ability to attend YMCA day camp for the next 4 weeks until school begins. The children attended summer school, but it has now ended resulting in the children having limited peer interaction and increased fighting in the home. Their grandfather just had an extended stay in the hospital and is still recovering which has made it very difficult for grandparents to plan and participate in activities with the kids. A consistent routine is crucial to keeping the children stable and safe between now and the start of the school year.

A person is in the process of adopting a young boy who has gone through a lot and now has many medical needs. The person adopting him stays at home with him to provide the love, care, and attention he needs and deserves. The family is hoping to increase the security of the home due to some threats made and would like to install some security cameras. If there is someone who is able to donate a camera or two or a whole camera system, that would be so helpful in increasing the family's peace of mind. A family is needing help securing a door on the side of their house. The door is meant to have a barricade, however, one of the brackets for the barricade has broken off, and therefore, the door cannot properly lock. The objects stored in that room are at risk and the rest of the home is less secure. The family is hoping for a new lock or barricade bracket to secure the door. An 8 year girl just entered foster care and will be having a birthday this week. This child came to the foster home with only the clothes on her back. The foster placement would like to purchase some new clothing items and a few toys to provide a meaningful birthday for this child as they have been separated from their family. Please consider donating a gift card so they can purchase items for her birthday.

While being the full-time caregiver for their four young grandchildren and now cognitively impaired adult child was done out of commitment and love, but because of ongoing medical appointments and barriers with transportation it has caused limitation in these grandparents' ability to also provide enriching summer activities for their grandchildren. The hope is that we will be able to collect various outdoor actives from chalk, sprinklers, bikes, and toddler outdoors equipment so the kids can continue to experience a full summer. The age of the children range from 0 to 11 years old and would love to have activities to do together and utilize their new large backyard to do so.

This youth has been working diligently to prepare for aging out of care. Throughout this process, he has faced numerous challenges and setbacks, yet he continues to persevere as he takes meaningful steps toward independence. Despite his best efforts, unforeseen circumstances have caused delays in his transition, including pushing back his planned age-out date. He has been actively searching for housing, securing an apartment, and covering the associated fees on his own.

At this time, he is in need of a grocery gift card to help cover food expenses for his first month on his own. Providing this support would relieve a significant financial burden and allow him to focus on building a stable foundation. By easing the immediate stress of affording food, we can help ensure a more successful and confident start to this important new chapter in his life.

The household has been experiencing some recent issues with being overcharged on their water and electric bill. They are working with a caseworker to get that rectified currently. However, they are currently short on money for expenses like gas. They requested help with acquiring gas cards. Family has worked with a Careportal provider previously.

Clay County Children's Division tries to keep a clothing items in various sizes in our supply room for when kids first enter custody. These items are to assist the kids with clothing for 1 to 2 days while the initial clothing voucher is filled by the placement providers. We are running low on summer items in the following sizes. We would appreciate t-shirts, shorts, pjs, in the sizes listed below. These times can be new or used as long as there are no holes or stains. We are also needing a few bottles of baby wash.

The family is working through reintegration of 4 children. The two oldest girls who are 9 and 11 report that in the past they have had weighted blankets and it helps them with their behaviors but in this placement they don't have access to weighted blankets. This request would be for two weighted blankets for two girls ages 9 and 11.

A 17 year old girl is reunifying with her dad in his home. She is 7-8 months pregnant and will be having her baby soon. The family would like to request a beside-the-bed bassinet for the baby to help the reintegration and post pregnancy go more smoothly. The family is currently working on completing reintegration with 9 kids total so this bed will help them out greatly.

The item being requested is a beside-the-bed bassinet.

Two young boys were removed from there mom because of an unsafe situation. They have reintegrated back home with their dad who was not in the home with them originally. The family is fully reintegrated but there are court fees that the dad cannot fully cover and the family will not be finished with court until the fees are covered. The fees are supposed to be shared with the kids mom but she will most likely not be helping so the family is asking for help to cover her portion of the court fees.

The boys are doing well with their dad and the dad would like to be finished with the court system and have the boys full time with him.
