Unemployed single mother of two children in the Bronx is going through a financial challenge. She has been out of work for some time due to her medical condition. Her children are both dealing with various medical complications of their own and their home is very hot due to the warm temperatures outside. She does not have the funds at the moment to purchase an AC unit for the home, if this is something that the care portal team can help with, it would be greatly appreciated.

Unemployed single mom of 5 children ages ranging from 5 months-18 years old, is going through a financial hardship. Her EBT card was recently stolen and she is using the limited funds she has at the moment on groceries to feed her children. The family is living in a very high-crime area where they are sometimes afraid to leave their apartment. This family is in need of groceries especially fresh fruits. The caregiver is also in need of baby items such as diapers, wipes, baby laundry detergent, baby monitor, baby walker, baby feeding tools, playpen, baby soap, and breastfeeding friendly bottles. She is also in need of sensory items for her older child who is autistic such as visual and auditory toys. The caregiver is also in need of household cleaning supplies and plastic portable storage drawers from Target.

Single mom is struggling to keep two small children in diapers and wipes. She is also 8 months pregnant and in need of baby supplies. The main thing she needs is a portable breast pump, video monitor and summer clothes Size 2t girl and 3t boy.

Child currently has an IEP, and is enrolled in both physical therapy and psycho therapy. . The child's biological dad is incarcerated. The family has experienced DV in the past and have lived in emergency shelter at one point. Mom is committed to helping her child succeed and overcome any obstacles they have faced. Single mother has been awarded her housing voucher and is expected to move out of the shelter August 1st to her new apartment. She will not be provided the full amount of her furniture voucher from HRA because they are paying for her storage unit. So she will need a mattress and frame for her 3 almost 4-year-old daughter.

We are reaching out on behalf of a mother , unemployed mother currently residing in New York with her two children. She is actively seeking employment while attending school, working hard to build a better future for her family. At present, a caregiver is assisting with the family's basic needs, including rent, electricity, and food.

The family is new to our mentorship program, and we are committed to helping strengthen and support them as they work toward greater stability and independence.

Immediate Need: We are requesting a twin bed and mattress for her son. Providing this essential item will help create a more organized and supportive home environment. A designated space for the child to sleep and store personal belongings will greatly contribute to his academic focus, social development, and overall well-being. This is family has a mom, older daughter, and 3 young boys. The father was living with them but has been abusive towards the mother. He has been very physical with the mother causing black eyes, broken ribs, and a brain hemorrhage. He has threatened to kill her. The mother finally got the courage to report her husband and there is a warrant for his arrest. The children have not been physically harmed but are emotionally damaged. During the last incident where the mother was knocked unconscious, the father broke the windshield of a neighbor's car in a jealous rage, and the neighbor is asking for restoration. The family needs support to pay this bill and to help with having their locks changed. Gift cards for food to help curtail expenses since the father's contribution to the family's expenses cannot be relied upon.

We are requesting support for a resilient and hardworking family who has just moved into their very first apartment. This marks a new beginning after a period of instability, and we hope to help them furnish their new space with the essentials that will make it feel like home.

The family includes a dedicated mother who works part-time and is a huge, integral part of our school community—always giving her time and energy to support students and staff alike. Her child, a student at our school, has an Individualized Education Program (IEP) and has already undergone three or more surgical procedures since birth. Despite these challenges, the family continues to show strength, grace, and a deep commitment to growth. Student is male and will turn 15 this year. Providing family with the following items will allow the student to remain in our school community. While the family does have the keys and access to the apartment, they have not been able to move in fully because they don't have beds.
