Single mom of two works a full time job but need assistance with gas money. She recently had an unexpected car repair. Drives the kids to daycare every day and then to work!

A family in need of various items. 5 children were displaced from their home and placed with grandparents. The grandparents are in need of a bunk bed. There is also a newborn child is also in need of various help with blankets and other essential items. The grandparents are doing their best to help provide for all 5 children and also having custody of their other 2 grandchildren. Due to the unforeseen placement they need help with this bunk bed to allow room for all 7 children. In order for these children to remain with their grandparents they will need appropriate beds. There is also a 6 year old non-verbal autistic child they is in need of a communication tablet that would help with his speech and communication with his needs. The agency is providing diapers and formula monthly to the family in this time of need to help support. We want these siblings to remain together in a loving safe home with their grandparents. The grandparents have found a van that would better utilize the family and are in need of $600 to secure this van as one of the cars broke down and this would allow the grandparents to travel together in one car.

The parents are in an inpatient treatment to be able to provide a safe and sober life for their children. Any help for this family would be greatly appreciated and the family thanks you in advance.

I am currently working with a family who is need of household/safety items for their two children. There is an infant child and a 5 year old child with high needs due to extreme behaviors. The family is in need of two baby gates, two top of the door locks or door alarms. The family is also in need of some sort of tall "thinner" plastic drawer/dresser to store the children's clothing and help organize the home. These items will help ensure the children's safety in their home.

Family needs help with my rent for this month. This is the family of two of the students we serve at GES.

A dedicated kinship caregiver and her 12-year-old niece are in need of utility assistance. The family has fallen behind and could use some help catching up to ensure they can cover their expenses moving forward. They owe $241 to Centerpoint and $472 to AES. The caregiver explained that if she could receive help with these overdue bills, it will take a huge weight off her shoulders, and she would be able to cover the balance moving forward. Thank you!

Mother is a single mom of three boys. Mom works full time. Due to the mental health and behavioral needs of one of her sons, she was let go from her previous place of employment. Mom has recently obtained a new job and is engaging in services to help support herself and her children. Mom is in need of financial help to pay next month's rent to get back on track with her finances and to sustain the family's home. This assistance will help prevent another barrier to the family.

We have a larger family in need of help with their transportation. DJFS is helping with housing at this time. According to the caseworker they have a 2003 Honda Odyssey van in need of 2 front wheel bearings and a fuel filter. Several shops were called for pricing. It sounds like it could cost around 1400.00 as long as they don't run into any other issues.

This aunt and uncle are caring for their two nieces and one nephew. Due to this placement happening quickly the couple were not prepared for the three extra people in the home. They are in need of some ideas including 1 twin bunk with bedding and pillow and 1 twin bed with bedding and pillow, 2 dressers and a window screen. These items would help in order to get their home study passed which is necessary to consider them as a more permeant placement.

​I​ am pleased to connect you with a ​mother and 2 children. Just this year, the family ​was on the Shelter waiting list, ​sold a car to buy a camper to live in, and​ then has been paying to stay at the Drake Mote​l. The mother left a domestic violence situation in Huber Heights. She came to Springfield to seek ​safety and new opportunities for her and the children. When she arrived in Springfield​, we paid for her and the children to stay at a hotel. ​This mother has gained steady employment, and she is getting everything back on track after a connection with Service Coordination. Her car broke down not too long ago and she was not able to work for a little while, but she is back on track now with a "new to her" car.

I believe above all the connection​s to service​s has helped this mother get back on her feet. The mother has had to jump through many hoops due to her past criminal activity and working through recover​y. But she has now found housing, and has already moved in. In order to not stress her financial situation, she has reluctantly asked for help in getting items for her new home.

​I​ am hopeful that keeping this housing and having stability ​will change things for her ​and her children. She ​is the poster parent of how to get yourself out of a bad situation and change things for your future! I admire her, and when you meet her you will understand how hard it was to turn things around. But she did it!

Mother of two with children ages 4 and 2 years old, lost her SNAP benefits. She has since applied for twice and was told to apply online. She's waiting to hear back, in the meantime they need food. The kids are picky eaters. They could use 2%milk, bread, lunchmeat (bologna), fruit (apples, oranges, grapes, watermelon, bananas, fruit cups), pizza, pizza rolls, chicken nuggets, ramen noodles (chicken flavor), spaghetti noodles & sauce any brand, potatoes, hot dogs, peanut butter, and Fruit Loops or Fruity Pebbles. There's not much else she can get them to eat. They could also use some hygiene products, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and famine products. These prices were based off of Wal-Mart Store Online.
