A youth I am working with is applying for jobs. He does not have a car or driver's permit at this time. When talking about how he would physically get to his job, he said he planned to use his first paycheck to buy himself a bike. I asked him if I could use CarePortal to request a bike from the community, he said he would think about it. He finally agreed to allow me to make this request! Grandparents have been taking care of their grandson for several years and are experiencing some financial difficulties due to physical disabilities. The family is dealing with a bed bug infestation and needing to get rid of all their furniture. Any information regarding where to obtain household furniture such as mattresses would be extremely helpful to this family. They are in need of a twin mattresses and two full mattresses. The family is also in need of a couch.

Father is in florida working and is the sole provider for the family. Mother is currently struggling to find employment and recently moved to a new apartment and is needing support with a twin bed mattress for her daughter and a dining table for 4. I have a family that is struggling to make ends meet since they financially helped their extended family flee an unsafe and dangerous situation in Afghanistan to come to the US to live with them. The dad is driving for Door Dash to help supplement some income, but they are still struggling, as they are helping to feed an additional 2 children and 2 adults on top of their own 3 children. Single mother who is trying to regain full custody of their young daughter. Was in a car accident while looking for a job. This mother is needing assistance with the deductible. She was able to secure a full-time position, however does not have transportation to get to the new job. Without assistance she will continue the cycle of poverty.

A four-year-old girl is interested in playing soccer and her CASA and caregiver believe it will be a good social outlet for her, as well as a constructive thing to do during the summer. She has not had the opportunity to participate in this kind of extracurricular activity before, so we would love for her to have the chance.
