A single mother of two girls 15yo and 7yo, has just recently lost her job, unexpectedly. Mom has no family that is able to help with covering bills. Moms car has recently broken down so she is having difficulty with transportation. She lives in section 8 housing and needs help paying water bill and rent payment. Mom has recently received a job offer and will start work soon. Mom and her family would greatly benefit from help bridging the gap between employment. Thank you for your consideration.

Mom is a disabled single mother caring for her developmentally delayed toddler. Mom left a domestic violence situation and has been doing her best to improve her and her son's lives. Mom is on disability but only gets roughly $1000 monthly to take care of her and her son. Mom is unable to drive due to her disability and has many barriers. One of Mom's goals has been to get a job and she is hopeful to put her son in a summer program so she is able to do so. A summer program would also be helpful in improving her son's social skills and communication skills. The summer program is $330 every two weeks at TOPs Early Learning Center. We have an appointment to get her son enrolled in the summer program and are hoping that someone could help with one or two payments so her son could be in the program and Mom could find a job.

A teenage boy needs football cleats to attend practice. He loves to play sports. He plays basketball at the Y and he ran on his school's track team this spring. He lives with his grandmother who struggles to keep up with the added expenses from her grandson's sports. Please help out this family! Size 12 football cleats

I am requesting on behalf of a single mom and her 16-month old. This mother has experienced physical, emotional, and verbal abuse from the father of her child. In an effort to keep herself and her little one safe she is to moving into a new apartment, where the father cannot locate them. She is also working with Safe Project for legal/court help, but she needs additional financial help to make this move a reality. Client requests $140 for down payment of new apartment and $150 to help with moving expenses.

17/F mother in foster care is needing help with tow cost of getting her vehicle to a mechanic in find out why her car is not running and obtain an estimate for cost of repair. This young mother recently gave birth to a baby girl in December and has had some struggles with postpartum depression. Having a running vehicle will ensure that mother is able to attend her mental health appointments, medication management appointments, ensure baby is getting to her required checkups and help mom attend school and work to better herself and her child's life. Mother's car is currently at her foster home in Northeast Wichita and needs to be taken to a local mechanic. A repair shop has not been identified at this time, so any suggestions would be appreciated as well as initial tow cost covered.

Parent has relocated and does not have beds for all of her children. Stated she needs 5 beds for her children, has nothing per mom.

A mom of three has been working incredibly hard to get her life back on track—and she’s almost there.

Not long ago, her kids entered foster care after they ran away while the family was experiencing homelessness. Since then, this mom has completely turned things around. She’s obtained sobriety and just moved into a new home with space for the children. She’s done everything the court asked of her, and now her kids are finally ready to come back home.

There’s just one thing missing: a bed.

She was able to find beds for two of the kids, and we have a twin bed frame ready for her—but she still needs a mattress and box spring to make it complete.

She’s done the hard work. Now we just need a little help to finish the job.

Can you help us get one more bed so this family can finally be together again?

A 12-year-old boy has recently been placed in the care of his aunt after his grandmother could no longer manage his behaviors. His aunt, a devoted woman living in public housing here in Wichita, took him in without hesitation—even though she already works hard to provide for her own children and lives paycheck to paycheck.

Their home has only the bare essentials: beds to sleep in and a kitchen table to share meals. There’s no dresser for this young boy’s clothes—just a suitcase he’s been living out of. It’s a small, quiet detail, but it speaks volumes about the hardships they’re facing.

This is a kinship placement—family stepping up in the face of crisis. But love alone can’t meet every need. Without extra support, families like this are stretched to their limits. While it’s uncertain how long he’ll remain in his aunt’s care, what is certain is that he deserves dignity, stability, and the simple comfort of a space that feels like his own.

With your help, we can provide the essentials that turn survival into stability—and give this young boy hope during a time of great uncertainty.

Mother is a single parent with two children. She is currently not employed and resides in the apartment. Mother is needing a help to pay her apartment bills the amount mother provided is $773.79. Mother is also needing bus passes due to her car is broken and she needs transportation to take children to their appointments. Mother plans to pay the last month rent and move in with her mother.

Mother has 3 children and is living with her mother and her ex-husband in a one-bedroom apartment. They are needing air mattresses for the children or any form of beds. Any beds or air mattresses will help the family. requesting 3 twin beds or 3 twin air mattresses. A frame would be more acceptable since the home is only a 1 bedroom.

Family has been living in a domestic violence shelter and moved into their own home. Mom had three major surgeries back to back that caused her to lose her job. She is currently recovering but is looking for a job. Mom reports that 13yo male has not had new shoes and very little clothing in over a year.
