A family who just reunify back together into their new apartment just dropped and broke their television. They are in need of a new one, hopefully something between 48-55in TV. We are requesting a gas card for a mother who has endured IPV and is also adjusting to a newborn baby. Mom has two other little ones and she could really use support in having a gas card so she may drive to visits for the children. We appreciate any assistance!

I am the social worker of a mother who is working on reunifying with their child. The child just returned to the mother's care full-time this week. The mother is tight on money and does not have the funds to pay for her phone bill this month. It is $135 and due on May 15th. The mother is worried about having her phone turned off while she has her child newly back in her care. She needs to be able to talk to her child's day care provider, as well as continue to communicate with the service providers and myself as part of her CPS case. She is actively looking for employment and has an upcoming job interview. I have also given her information about signing up for a low-income phone line through a government agency.  SW Dub

We are requesting gift cards for clothing, backpacks, new blankets and sheets for an at-risk family. The children are in need of many basic items, which are an added expense for mom, who is having difficulty affording at the moment. This mom and her three children's basic survival depends on getting by each week with sustenance and meals, but having access to clean and modern clothing for every child has been a struggle for this financially-strained mom. We want to make sure these kiddos social well-being is taken care of, and so we ask for at least two gift cards so these children may have weather-appropriate and new clothing. Young, single mom of one year old needs your support. Recently, the youth have been complaining about headaches and feeling sick. Upon cleaning and moving furniture around she found that several pieces of furniture in her home were infested with mold which included her baby's mattress, baby’s crib, her mattress, her bed frame and her dresser. The immediate ask supports with replacing the mattresses, bed frame and crib. This will improve their immediate health as she will be removing all furniture that has mold from her home.

Potentially queen box spring will not be needed if bed frame does not require one.

This request is intended to support a young family while the mother completes her recovery program. Although the baby remains in the mother's care during her treatment, extended family members have been helping by taking care of the baby, allowing her to focus on recovering from childbirth and addressing her substance use. We are requesting a gas gift card to assist the mother's family with transportation costs when the mother needs medical care etc.

Three children are living with their grandmother while separate from their parents. The grandmother has limit income and would like to keep things as normal as possible and take the kids out this summer to Sunsplash in Roseville, CA. She needs support of providing tickets to take them. We're asking to have the waterpark ticket be purchases or VISA gift card to buy them.

A young adult who is autistic and limit items he is interested is but when he interested in something, his mom would like to encourage him to continue with his interested. There are specific items and needs he likes and would like support with getting a VISA gift card to purchase him specific computer/video game supplies for him. His mom works full time and has two jobs trying to support him and having difficulty trying to meet his needs.

A single mom with four children is in need of some bedframes and mattresses for her girls. Currently, two of the older children is co-sleeping with her and she would like to get them their own beds. Mom is struggling financially and having difficult time being able to provide new beds for her girls.

A mother of multiple children, passed away in March, leaving her youngest son without a caretaker. Two of her adult children live locally (the others have moved out of the bay area and even the state) and are doing their best to look after their brother. The adult siblings, just 19 and 25 years old themselves, have limited resources, finances and space. Their father has been out of the picture for many years and there is no other local family as their grandparents are in Mexico.
The 19 year old sister is acting as the primary caretaker for her 16 year old brother and needs help. She was struggling financially on her own and is trying to make ends meet. We are requesting assistance with the essentials: food, gas, toilet paper, etc. Anything will help alleviate at least a little bit of the stress while they get used to their new lives and navigate through what that means for them. I am writing for a unique request to benefit the workers at our agency. As you likely understand, this job is highly stressful and can feel draining at times. Our agency implemented a program called Art in the Atrium for some stress relief. Myself and a few other workers create quick art projects that workers can participate in during their breaks. This helps provide a fun activity for workers to take a moment to themselves or to socialize with other workers as they are being creative. We were initially provided a grant for this program, but our funds are just about out. Our committee has been hosting some small fund raisers within our agency or purchasing supplies out of pocket at times. We are hoping that our amazing community would be willing to help provide some art supplies or other donations so that we can keep this program going. We would appreciate any art supplies you have on hand that you no longer use. Things like scrapbooking paper or stickers, fabric scraps, leather or cord scraps, ribbon etc. Also, we have some specific things we could use: Glue: tacky glue, E6000, wood glue, Elmer's glue, and mod podge Water color paper Grout for us to do a mosaic craft. Premade in white or some neutral color would be best Paints: acrylic paints, water colors, paint brushes, paint trays Canvases: this is a wish list item, but we would love some smaller canvases so we can host a guided painting activity

A teenage youth who is transition home from our shelter who needs new hygiene supplies and a new pair of shoes.
