At CCA, we provide uniform shirts for all our students so they can be ready to start the school year in dress code. This is of huge help especially for families who may not be able to afford them. We’re asking for the funds to cover the cost of school shirts with the CCA logo, so every student can start the year strong. This student recently graduated from our school. We are a second chance school who serves students who have struggled in the traditional public school setting. This student is an honors student who is also very responsible. This student is pregnant and is in need of equipment for her baby. She needs a stroller with a car seat as well as the pack and play with the basinet included. She is also in need of a baby bath tub, bottles, diapers, burpees, receiving blankets, and pacifiers.

My client is a single mom of two teenage children. She is currently working full time and is actively trying to move out of unsafe living environment directly linked to her exploitation. She was using a vehicle her exploiter was allowing her to borrow. As a control tactic, he sold the car so that she would no longer be able to use it. She is now having to use uber/lyft to get back and forth to work, which is expensive.

She is desiring independence and freedom from her exploiter and this environment (and so is our team!). The biggest obstacle to achieving that right now is a reliable vehicle. She needs to have a guaranteed and reliable way to get to work, get her kids to school and extracurricular events, as well every day tasks such as grocery runs and doctor visits.

Once this need is meet, she will not only be able to get to work and put in as many hours as she can to save up to move out, but she will also be able to tour and look for places to move to. She will get to be away from the toxic environment and be able to prioritize things to improve her mental and physical wellbeing. Such as meeting with her advocate/mentor(s), attending counseling, engaging in community resources/activities.

The father (44) of two children recently passed away. he was making plans to purchase new beds and dressers for the two girls. Currently, they are sleeping on a thin mattresses on the floor in the bedroom. There is no bedroom furniture.

I Am a single parent that has two daughters that currently attend DISD. Prayers to all, I am in need of serious help with my rent this month, unfortunately I only have one source of income right now to help provide for me and my two daughters and my granddaughter,
I recently lost my mother on the 19th of March and finally was able to lay her to rest on the 14th of April, she is who I would go to for help, I have good girls, they are in need of assistance and resources socially and emotionally as well, i thank God for the school and the help they try to provide, we are a family in desperate need at this time. The child is 15yo in 9th grade. The family moved from Irving to Dallas and He was no longer able to get to school in Irving. The local school in Dallas requires uniforms with the school logo and the mother is unable to afford. The child is in men sizes.

Hi, I’m following on the uniform shirts in this request. Dallas Community Partners were able to fill the request for uniform pants and shoes. We are still needing financial assistance for school uniforms purchased from the school with the logo.

Low-income single mom is requesting assistance with obtaining 2 mattresses for her younger children. They are all currently co-sleeping on 1 bed. The Department can provide air mattresses, but we are hoping for a more long-term solution.

This family consists of a rambunctious 2-year-old, mom, and unborn baby sibling. The family is in need of a washer and dryer for the home which will help mom in carrying out important household needs for the family as they grow in size.

Upon completing a home visit, CM noticed that there was no furniture in the family's living room and one of the bedrooms was completely empty. Our current client, a 16-year-old girl, shares a queen size bed between 2 other family members, while her caregiver sleeps on the floor. The family has 1 adult currently working while the other is forced to stay home and care for their 8-month-old baby boy. The family is financially limited as to how much they can spend. Our client needs her own bed to have a little bit more space and privacy.
