The 15 year old teen boy is currently living with his great-aunt. He is a shy and kind boy who is always so excited when he gets to visit with his young siblings. He enjoys being on the football team and is currently practicing for basketball for next year. He has had issues with aggression and angry outbursts in the past and he has worked very hard to have no issues so far this whole school year. He has asked for a piano (electric and either mid-sized or full size) and a guitar. He would be happy with used or new items. The piano was his first choice but he would like both items if possible. I believe these items will help him continue to work on his anger and give him a creative outlet for his emotions. Thank you for your consideration of this request!

A local family of four—three children and their mother—has been through an incredibly difficult journey over the past few months. Due to a devastating fire that started in their daughter’s room, they were displaced from their home. While they are grateful that no one was harmed, they have faced the hardships of living in hotels and with friends as they worked to rebuild their lives.

Today, they are finally back in their home, but they are still rebuilding. The daughter's room, which was most affected by the fire, is in need of a twin bed, comforter and sheets to create a safe and comfortable space of her own. She has also expressed a desire for a TV, if anyone has one to donate.

This is a family of 4 (3 kids, and one adult). They have been approved for housing in St. Paul, with a housing voucher, but need the remaining security deposit. They have tried several other avenues (Ramsey County Emergency assistance, and other organizations) to help financially, but have not found success. As of last night, their lease on their old apartment ended, and they can't move into their new place without the security deposit. So the family will no longer be housed until they are able to produce this money.

I would like to tell you about a family and their very long struggle-but they never lost hope. For the past eight months, a family of five—two parents and three young children—has faced the overwhelming struggles of homelessness. They've moved from shelters to hotels, to staying with friends, and back to shelters again. Through it all, they've held onto hope, but the journey has been heart-wrenching. Thanks to support from the shelter and their community, this family has finally secured a home, but they still face a long road ahead. They are starting from scratch, needing essential household items to make their new space livable—things we often take for granted like furniture, kitchenware, and bedding. We will be helping them with a pack and play, an alarm for the door, food and towels and wash clothes. I was not able to add this to the list of needs but they also need a trash can, a mop, and a shower curtain and rings. We ask for your help in providing these necessities to this family in need. Your generosity can give them the stability and comfort they’ve been longing for. A single mother and her school-aged child are in need of a dumpster haul away service. The family's home is extremely cluttered, posing a safety hazard for the child. There is not enough storage within the home. The mother's parents have passed away within the last year and the clutter is most of their belongings that she is unable to attend to. The mother is on a very limited income and can't afford to bring multiple bags to the dump.

A father has recently gotten housing and needs items for him and his son to be comfortable in their home. A few items are listed but the apartment needs all the basics for living. Financial assistance is also welcome to help purchase needed items.

Hello, I am wondering if you can donate a food gift card to our family of 5. Yes we do go to local food banks frequently however my wife just recently went through a very traumatic pregnancy and our son arrived 6 weeks early and spent 5 in the NICU and we were driving 40 miles to and from the hospital. We have a foster family of 7 with a baby due on May 3rd who is in need of help deep cleaning their home. They have a house full of teenage boys who do a good job on chores BUT they are teenage boys after all... These parents would love if an individual or group would be interested in doing a super deep clean so they can have a healthy, clean home for their baby's arrival. The weekend of April 26-27th would be ideal.
