THIS IS A GUTHRIE PUBLIC SCHOOLS REQUEST! Local family consists of 7 children and 2 adults. Family has recently fallen on hard times due to dad losing his job and mom having their most recent baby prematurely. Family is working to get back on their feet but have fallen behind on utilities. Dad has found a new job but won't receive his first paycheck for a few weeks. Due to being unable to pay trash and sewage bills, their water has been turned off. We are requesting $250 to cover the cost of utilities in order to get their water turned back on. Helping with utilities and restoring water will help the family care for their children, including cooking and bathing. Thank you!

Mom is a single parent who has struggled to find housing. However, mom has been able to get a good paying job and found a place that she is able to afford. Being that this is the first time she is able to get a place of her own, she is in need of any furniture. Such as beds, dining set, couch, kitchen appliances. Mom is said that she will accept any assistance. This parent and student have been experiencing housing insecurity for a long time and so mom is excited that she is finally getting back on her feet. The student is in kindergarten and is special needs. Mom is doing everything possible to ensure student has the support she needs.

We have a sweet, high-energy, and goofy four-year-old who has been moved ten times in less than a year. This kiddo only recently turned four years old, so she missed signups for school and will have to wait until the fall. This sweet little kiddo has been given up on so many times and we have a family member who has agreed to give us a chance to get therapy and other services in place. This kiddo has endured tremendous trauma between being moved constantly, in addition to being brought into our custody. This household is a one income household, and the foster parent is a stay-at-home parent which means she is with our sweet high-energy kiddo 24/7. We are working on trying to give her a break throughout the week and get this kiddo into daycare. Daycare does not take our vouchers, and we are looking for any sort of donations (through a visa gift card because daycare will only take online payments). Please help us limit this vulnerable child from being moved again and get her into daycare where she can strengthen her social skills, and give this blessing of a family member a break to maintain this placement.

Male infant was placed in licensed care and is in need of a crib and mattress. It is suspected that the caregiver is co-sleeping with the infant, which is a safety violation. Patient has been residing in the U.S. for the past three years, originally comes from Honduras and has no immediate family or support here. Her family remains in Honduras, and she is navigating an extremely vulnerable situations on her own.

She is the mother of a 4-year-old daughter who has been diagnosed with autism and is scheduled for surgery soon due to severely enlarged tonsils that are interfering with her ability to breathe. Her daughter is in need of diapers. She is a size 7 in diapers. The patient is currently pregnant.

Until recently, the household’s sole provider was her husband, who has now been arrested. As a result, the family has lost its only source of income. She is actively working with legal counsel to navigate the situation, but her immediate needs continue to grow. Due to the lack of funds, her phone service is expected to be disconnected shortly, which will further isolate her during this difficult time, as well as difficulty paying rent.

Despite these overwhelming challenges, the patient remains incredibly resilient, facing each day with strength and kindness. Given the urgent nature of her circumstances, she is in need of financial and social support now more than ever.
