A family we have been walking along side is having issues with the property managers of their apartment complex fixing a non-working air conditioner. The family would like fans to help with the high temps while they continue to work reach out to the complex to get the air conditioner fixed.

Grandmother of 3 (three) is looking to purchase bed items for her grandchildren. She recently had to throw out bed items to bed bug infestation.

The foster parent in this case stated that the children need shoes badly. The shoes the children have are getting too small. She does not have the money for shoes. She tried Kids Point in Tallahassee to find second hand shoes and they had none in their size . Both the children (boy and girl) wear size 11. She is requesting sandals for the summer and tennis shoes for school. It would ease this foster parents mind if she new this could be provided. Thank you for all you do for our kiddos.

I am working with a single mother of two young children who is in urgent need of assistance. She moved to Texas earlier this year fleeing domestic violence and emotional abuse, seeking a fresh start. Since arriving, she has shown great determination—securing temporary shelter with a friend, obtaining transportation, and finding work selling car parts to support her family.

However, recent months have become increasingly difficult. Her demanding work schedule has prevented her from accessing local food and diaper pantries. Additionally, her living situation has become unsafe. The friend she stays with has had multiple mental health crises, that required police intervention. The home environment remains highly distressing and unsuitable for a mother with young children.

The mother is now seeking help to relocate back to Kentucky, where she has family support and a more stable living environment. She has a reliable vehicle but needs financial assistance for travel expenses, in the form of gas cards. She is also in immediate need of diapers and wipes for her children.

Any support—financial help for relocation through gas cards, diapers, and/or wipes would be deeply appreciated. She is currently located in the 77304, Conroe area. Thank you for considering this request and helping this family move toward safety and stability.

A mother, twin babies, and a five-year-old boy are rebuilding their lives at Community Action Stops Abuse (CASA) Marion, the certified domestic violence center in Marion County. After fleeing abuse, the family is left without clothing that fits and could use the following items:

-Shirts, pants, undergarments, socks, and a pair of shoes (for a boy who wears size seven in clothes; his shoe size is 1.5 or, if that's not available, 1) -Shirts, pants, and shoes for twin babies who are size 12 months

A gift of clothing will help the family leave the shelter with the resources that they need to survive. Clothing this family is a simple act that will remind them that the community cares about keeping them safe.

A family has contacted our church in need of help to pay their rent. They are in need of 600.00 to keep being evicted.

Case Manager is working with family who has financial challenges. Mom and dad are separated and dad is disabled and can not work. Family is in need of two booster seats for ages 5 and 9 both boys, and gift cards for new clothes for the boys and gift cards for food would be helpful as well. This request is from the family support specialist at the Middletown Early Learning Center. The family has a child in the preschool program and attends for half day sessions. The family phone and internet bills have been shut off, and they're in need $153 to turn on their cell phone service again and $205 for their internet service. School meetings are often held via Zoom and/or phone so both services are important for the family to maintain communication with the school.
