A mother of two daughters, a three year old and an unborn was recently able to regain her freedom just in time to give birth. The mother was able to obtain housing and weekly visits with her three year old daughter. The mother is seeking some assistance with obtaining baby items ( Bed, tub, bottles, and clothes ect). These items will help the mother maintain her stability and prevent family separation. The mother is open to receiving gently used items as well

My ct is a new ct to our services and has been hitting the ground looking for work and an apartment for her and her kids but for right now has to stay with my ct's mother and her kids too. While staying in this home there is 3 adult mouths to feed and at least her 2 children on a fixed income of the grandmother and grandfather. They all have been balancing money as best they can paying bills as they can and have now gotten a cut of notice from the city of Drummond where they live because of an unpaid water bill for the house. My ct has sent me a copy of the letter that was the shut off notice and the bill at $325.61. My ct is asking for help with this bill under her parents name because this is where her and her kids are staying right now and having the water shut off would definitely hurt the kids safety and security of the home.

The mother was able to secure a residence in Plant City close to her employer at that time. Her budget at the time indicated that she would be able to afford rent and expenses. However, in the wake of the back-to-back hurricanes in the Fall 2024, The mother was laid off. She was able to find stable employment in Tampa and reunited with her children in March 2025. However, her current income is insufficient to meet the needs to maintain the residence (which the landlord refuses to make repairs to) and cover the costs of transportation to her place of employment. The mother and the case manager have reached out to multiple community resources (Metropolitan Ministries, Catholic Charities, City of Plant City, etc.) but have been told that financial assistance is not available due to it being the end of the fiscal year. A FUP referral to Tampa Housing Authority has been made, but a decision has not yet been made. The mother worked hard to regain custody of her children but has been struggling especially since she does not receive child support from the father of the children.

A mother has lost custody of these children, and they are staying with an aunt. They have all been abused. The children only have a few clothes that the aunt has bought them, no toys, and very little toiletries. Grace Chruch Family, a need in the community has come to our attention that we would like to help with. A mom needs help with an electric bill. She has 3 children ages 6, 2, and 5 months. The baby was born early and this has caused her to get behind on several bills. Thank you for any amount you feel led to fund.

Single mother (who Emmaus members have been walking alongside) escaping domestic violence from husband along with two kids under the age of 7 years. She is starting over from scratch as they left the house with nothing and has no extended family support. She would like to have a car which would provide transportation so she can get a job so that she can get into housing. We are hoping to provide $3,000 towards a vehicle.
