This family has just recently moved into a new home after looking for over a year. They also have recently welcomed a new baby into the family. They did not have the ability to get everything needed to care for the new baby and some things had to be left at their old place. Any help is very appreciated by the family.

The family needs: Baby Items (except for a crib), Pots and Pans, Bedding (Queen), Baking Sheets and Pans (Small), Shelves and Storage (The home is very small so they need to make as much use of the space as they can), Plates, Bowls, Cups, and Silverware, Convection Microwave (There is no oven nor the space for it), Cutting board, Cooking Knives, Crockpot

This family of eight need a new starter for their vehicle. The family has many appointments and activities they attend as well as needing a vehicle to get to work, school, and to take care of things like grocery shopping. Without a working vehicle the family has to rely on rides that are not always available or able to fit all of them or walk far distances in sometimes not ideal conditions.

After being separated, bio mom has been reunified with her teen daughter in a trial reunification. She has not been able to secure long term bedding for her daughter. She currently is renting a bed frame and mattress and due to limited finances cannot afford to keep this up. To help her successfully reunify we are asking for a twin-size bed frame and mattress. Hey Team, since we are "Serving with Joy" I have a single mom that is currently in need and is employed with Wichita State University. She did some extra contractual work in marketing for WSU and when they finally paid her, it was short by $400. She was expecting the full amount in order to meet her rent. This underpayment was unexpected and unforeseen and is causing a hardship for her and her family. She is asking for help to secure her monthly rent. Any and all help is welcomed.

I am requesting assistance with securing a storage unit for a client who is preparing to enter treatment with her child. A local storage facility offers 5x7 units for $55 per month, with a one-time $15 activation fee. I am requesting approval for three months of storage rental, totaling $165, plus the $15 activation fee, for a total of $180. This storage unit is necessary to safely store the family's belongings while they are in treatment. The client has an important interview scheduled today and will have more information following that appointment. Approval of this request will help support the client’s transition into treatment and reduce barriers to participation.

Hey Family, as we are "Serving With Joy"... This is a second request from a family fleeing a Domestic Violence situation. Mom is an Educator and doesn't receive unemployment during the summer when school is out. Her and her children (4) are forced to relocate. She is asking for assistance with her new rental place. The amount that is needed is $950.00. This family has experienced a lot of hardship and could really use our help.

This pregnant mom and her family are trying to move into a new apartment by the end of the month when their lease ends. She has to pay off a lease from a previous apartment before she is able to move into a new place. We are working on long-term planning for jobs, housing, and childcare. However, she is unable to move forward on any of those until she has this lease paid off and has a place to stay at the end of the month. She has about half of it saved up so far and needs about $500 to finally end that debt!

Hey CarePortal family, I have a request for help from a single mom. Her husband deserted the family without any financial support and he has no plans of returning. To ensure that this bio family of three can stay together safely, they need their utilities paid off (Evergy $1300.00 and Kansas Gas $609.00) because this is hindering their ability to get new service at another location. They also need help finding a new home or apartment to rent. This is a very difficult and stressful situation for this family and they could really use our help. Homeless family needs help with deposit and 1st months' rent. The Grandma welcomed three small grandchildren into her home when the daughter was sent to prison. She is providing a loving home for these children but was evicted when the landlord sold the house. The oldest son just started a job at Spirit and will live with the family for a year to help with rent to stabilize the family. Children 1st is paying for the hotel rooms, and the grandmother is actively looking for housing. Please help us get the family out of the hotel and into stable housing.

This mom of 2 is asking for financial assistance as she steps back into work after having her youngest child. While she was in the last month of pregnancy her car stopped working. While she was on maternity leave she was able to make life work with her newborn and 2 year-old by staying home or using ride-shares sparingly. However, now that her maternity leave is done and she is going back to work, her insurance will not cover the cost of a rental while her car is being fixed. She is asking for financial help so that she can maintain going to work, but also having a running vehicle to get her children to appointments and daycare while her car is being repaired, which is estimated to take a month.

Help support a current foster home that has a baby who is crawling around. The placement has requested support for baby gates for an open room and the fire place in the home. They want to ensure that this child is able to move around the home safely and provide more security for the child. They will need one extended gate for the open space in the living room and two baby gates to have the fireplace enclosed and blocked off.
