Hey Family, as we are "Serving With Joy"... This is a second request from a family fleeing a Domestic Violence situation. Mom is an Educator and doesn't receive unemployment during the summer when school is out. Her and her children (4) are forced to relocate. She is asking for assistance with her new rental place. The amount that is needed is $950.00. This family has experienced a lot of hardship and could really use our help.

I have a client who recently began receiving case management services through the Stabilization Program. She is currently earning income through DoorDash while actively searching for a job, as USD 259 is out for the summer break. She is a single mother of three and works full-time as a paraprofessional during the school year. However, due to reduced income over the summer, she is in need of assistance with her rent. Her total rent is $1,050, but she only requires $800 in assistance, as she is able to contribute $250 toward July's rent.

This pregnant mom and her family are trying to move into a new apartment by the end of the month when their lease ends. She has to pay off a lease from a previous apartment before she is able to move into a new place. We are working on long-term planning for jobs, housing, and childcare. However, she is unable to move forward on any of those until she has this lease paid off and has a place to stay at the end of the month. She has about half of it saved up so far and needs about $500 to finally end that debt!

A single father of four boys is in urgent need of $300 to cover the remainder of his rent by July 1st. This father has worked tirelessly to bring his family back together, and his commitment is paying off- two of his sons are already home, and the other two are scheduled to be reintegrated with him in the next couple of weeks. Recently, he faced a setback when a medical complication forced him to miss work and ultimately lose his job. Although he has since recovered and is ready to return to work, the brief interruption in income left him short on rent. He was able to pay part of what's due, but now needs help covering the final $300 to avoid losing his home. Your support would help keep his children safe, stable, and together under one roof. This assistance would not only prevent the loss of housing but would also allow the final steps of their reunification to move forward as planned.

V is a mom and grandma working hard to care for her two children and one grandson. She fell behind on her electric bill due to an illness and missing work and now it's shut off. They were able to stay last night at a friend's house but that's not feasible to do again. Any amount helps to stabilize this family and help prevent the need for foster care!

Homeless family needs help with deposit and 1st months' rent. The Grandma welcomed three small grandchildren into her home when the daughter was sent to prison. She is providing a loving home for these children but was evicted when the landlord sold the house. The oldest son just started a job at Spirit and will live with the family for a year to help with rent to stabilize the family. Children 1st is paying for the hotel rooms, and the grandmother is actively looking for housing. Please help us get the family out of the hotel and into stable housing.

This family is in urgent need of a refrigerator and a deep freezer after their home was flooded due to recent rains and flash-flooding earlier this month. This family is facing a daunting recovery process with their four young children (ages 3 months to 7 years). Adding to their challenges, the mother and two of her children suffer from hemophilia, a rare bleeding disorder requiring extensive medical attention and costly treatment. Because their refrigerator went out, their medications were destroyed. The health insurance company will not cover costs to replace the medications.

She is currently behind on her rent and electricity, and is hoping that whatever assistance can be offered will help her pay and get ahead. Her daughter is currently sleeping on a blow-up mattress and she would love to give her a a bed of her own. She said that if her daughter could choose the bedding it would be yellow or blue since those are her favorite colors!

This mom of 2 is asking for financial assistance as she steps back into work after having her youngest child. While she was in the last month of pregnancy her car stopped working. While she was on maternity leave she was able to make life work with her newborn and 2 year-old by staying home or using ride-shares sparingly. However, now that her maternity leave is done and she is going back to work, her insurance will not cover the cost of a rental while her car is being fixed. She is asking for financial help so that she can maintain going to work, but also having a running vehicle to get her children to appointments and daycare while her car is being repaired, which is estimated to take a month.

This home took in a child that has a emotional support dog and the dog is struggling to get along with the other dogs in the house. The family is requesting help purchasing a dog kennel with a cover from Amazon. The kennel will help the family slowly introduce the dogs outside in a safe manner. The family is not wanting to just get rid of the dog either since the child has had this dog since he was a puppy and is the last thing he has from his childhood.
