We have a single mother who recently had a child and has two older children that fled a domestic violence situation with her partner. Thankfully, they are able to stay at a shelter where they are safe. This mother has worked hard to obtain childcare assistance so she can return to work and be more financially stable for her and her children. Right now, she needs assistance in keeping her car which she needs . She is currently behind two month payments (June and July).

We are requesting support for two siblings 6 (M) & 9 (M), who were recently placed in a foster care placement. To help provide a safe, comfortable, and organized environment, the family is in need of twin Bunk Beds and two (2) five-drawer dresser. These items will allow the children to have their own personal space for rest and storage, promoting stability and emotional well-being during this transitional period.

A local family is in need of a car seat for a 1-year-old baby girl. This child has been in foster care and is now in the Return to Home phase. The parents are beginning to participate in day home visits with their daughter, every Tuesday. The parents have completed all the services required by the department of social services and have been devoted to changing their lives for their daughter. One of the only barriers left is that they need a car seat. It would be best delivered to them on a Tuesday, as they would be at home with the child on those days. We appreciate your continued support and generosity for our families in need. Thank you.

The caregiver and her family are requesting assistance to cover the rest of her rental payment for this month. The caregiver received the placement of her nephew in February, however, has been struggling with his behavior at school which has caused her to miss out on work. The child has been kicked out from several daycares due to his behaviors, and the caregiver has had to miss work to pick him up and stay with him during the day. The child has a history of trauma which they are working through in therapy and with medications. The caregiver and the team are looking for services for the child to manage their behavior. The caregiver wants to keep the placement of her nephew but needs extra help due to the circumstances. The caregiver is currently receiving funding; however, it does not cover her total rent. The case manager was able to get funding for the child to attend a summer program, which would allow the caregiver to work fulltime without interruptions. The caregiver will be able to cover her future rent payments once the child is in summer care.

A family with two children recently took in two dogs from their sister. The dogs almost had their sister evicted from her apartment, and now they are faced a similar dilemma. If they don't find a home for the dogs, they could be evicted. The family is looking for a home for the two dogs. They searched rescue sites and no kill shelters but hasn't received any help or support. Please help support this family by either taking in the dogs or by spreading the word.

Hello! Church, we have an opportunity to come alongside a single mom who is a member at Wildwood & help support her as she cares for the older bio siblings (brothers ages 9 & 12) of her adopted son. The brothers are still in foster care and need care for a period of 10 days in July. To say yes, the single mom needs childcare for the boys while she is at work. There are openings at a local day camp for both boys. The cost for 7 days of camp for both boys is $700. Please keep this family in your prayers - pray specifically for the time the three brothers will have together. One of our very own families, who faithfully serves every weekend, is currently facing a difficult season. They are in need of support with rent and groceries this month to get back on track and not fall behind.

Earlier this year, we had the opportunity to serve two families in our community. While our assistance was very much appreciated, it does not alleviate the on-going need for these families. Both families have young children who are home during the summer months. To ensure that they have access to hot meals during the summer while they are out of school, Heartland is initiating a request to provide food gift cards to each family throughout the duration of the summer.

A father at Point Church has recently regained custody of his three children and could use some clothing items for them. He is in need of a few shirts, a few pairs of shorts, a pair of pajamas, a few pairs of socks and underwear, and a pair of shoes for his 5-year-old daughter (clothing size 5-6, shoe size 11-13), 7-year-old daughter (clothing size 8-10, underwear size 10-12, shoe size 12-13), and 10-year-old son (clothing size 14, shoe size 5). Secondhand clothing in good condition is fine. It would be a blessing for them to have these items by July 11.
